Young, long hair has it's own challenges - it tends to become oily due to excess sebum production and because you like to move about, run your hands through your hair and change hairstyles during the day, the hair lengths are often dehydrated and brittle. Wear and tear, heat, lack of care, pollution and sun all combine to make it fragile.
Kérastase has examined the young, long hair paradox of an imbalance between oil roots and sensitized lengths and developed a line to treat these issues - the Cristalliste range!
A brand-new type of cleansing agent combined with a selective polymer and extract of Aloe Vera well known for its moisturizing power in skin products with three key benefits: smoothing the fibre - while targeting only the parts of the hair that are sensitized - the ends are repaired, the fibre is coated and the lipid layer is protected; treating the roots - to perfectly cleanse the scalp while leaving it unharmed; and creating the fibre - improving the quality of the fibre's lipids ensuring an airy texture, sensual movement and a radiant glow.
Available in the range is:
Bain Cristalliste Luminous Perfecting Shampoo - 250ml - $36 - in two formulas: one for thick hair, the other for fine hair - removes impurities while respecting the integrity of the hair's lipid layer - enriched with a liquid light complex to leave lengths looking beautiful without weighing them down.
Lait Cristal Luminous Perfecting Condition -200 ml - $44 - suitable for both fine or thick long hair - a rinse-off formula enriched with Aloe Vera to repair the fibre's lipid structure resulting in tangle-free hair that feels soft, loose and light that looks shiny and airy.
Lumière Liquide Luminous Perfecting Essence - 50ml - $42 - for sensitized lengths and ends - a non-greasy no-rise serum with a light texture and high concentration of softening agents that can be applied on wet or dry hair.
If you've been looking for the perfect products for your long hair, this might be just the thing and we would like you to have a chance to try it out for yourself and win the line! Interested? Then read on...

I'd say the biggest challenge is tangling. I think I could brush my hair all day and still have tangles. It's worst in the summer when car windows are down, if I don't have a hat or something it's baaad.

The biggest challenge is keep it away from my cat. He has a tendency to try and jump and swat my hair with his claws out when my hair is dangling over the sofa as I watch TV. I ended up getting some pretty ugly claw marks along my arm. >_____>
