Tarina Tarantino Summer 2012 Collection

I don't know how some bloggers do it - being on top of every single release of every new product and collection - I wish I was one of them but I'm not, stuff falls through the cracks all the time and I discover things that I think are new and wonderful only to find out that they've been out for ages!

Such is the case with the Tarina Tarantino summer collection but it is so darned cute that those of you who also missed it's release will want to see it now and get it while you still can!

Emerald Pretty Palette - $43 - infused with crushed pearls, diamond and porcelain powders, the shadows offer jewelry for your eyes with intense pigments that can be applied wet or dry. Contained in a case that resembles a shimmering emerald are six full sized eyeshadows including: Glinda's Kiss - iridescent white, Silver Shoes - pearlized silver, Dandy Lion - pearlized olive green, Saw Dust Heart - matte deep brown, Ozma - pearlized aqua blue; and Very Wicked - pearlized emerald green.

Fleur de Lash Waterproof Mascara - $23 - in a superior waterproof long-wearing, budge-proof formulation that dramatically sculpts lashes for maximum length and volume. With a thick, luscious brush that coats lashes from root to tip and a jet-black faceted tube that adds instant glamour to your makeup bag.

Avon Hawaiian Glow collection - lips and tips in Coral Reef - swatches!

If you've been thinking about trying out the matching lips and nails trend then you can't go wrong with coral for summer! You can do a lipstick if you like but with the whole matchy-matchy thing, I personally prefer a gloss, especially this one, it sparkles!

Soon Is Now - Lancôme and Corno at Luminato!

Luminato, Toronto’s festival of arts and creativity, in partnership with Lancôme, will present Soon is Now, an artistic experience inspired by Canadian artist Corno. In a loft-style party, Corno’s energetic style will be the focal point of a day-long event of live painting, performance art and music.

As the all-day free entry party unfolds - Saturday June 9^th , 2012, 11am – 6pm at Airship 37 - 37 Parliament Street - Toronto Distillery District - Corno will bring the final touches to large-scale paintings that will pay homage to femininity. Visitors will be invited to live in the moment as Corno’s works come to life. Performance art by Charlie Le Mindu and music from top Toronto DJs will also enhance the experience.

As a Canadian artist exhibiting internationally, Corno has developed a signature style that is both high-energy and expressionistic. Her work often incorporates luscious, playful and audacious female figures. Originally from the province of Quebec, she moved to New York in 1992 and has gone on to create work that has been featured in the major art capitals of the world from Paris and London to Shanghai, Hong Kong and soon, Toronto.

The Soon is Now event is part of Lancôme’s ongoing partnership with the renowned artist who teamed up earlier to create a limited edition summer makeup collection released exclusively in Canada in May 2012. Corno and Lancôme’s Official Makeup Artist Lora Spiga joined forces to select the products and determine the art direction of the Lancôme by Corno collection, resulting in a playful makeup collection embodied by a painting created especially by Corno for Lancôme.
