Points, Pouts & Perfect Skin: The Beauty+ Event Haul You Need Now at Shoppers Drug Mart - from Curel, Origins, Kylie Cosmetics and Bed Head!

PSA: The Shoppers Beauty+ Event is officially on  - now through October 3rd - an annual tradition that my beauty bag looks forward to all year! It's the perfect time to buy your fall beauty, hoard your points and thank me later when your PC Optimum balance looks like a phone number!

Here’s what’s made it into my autumn glam survival kit:

Curel Intensive Moisture Foaming Facial Wash - 150ml - $29.99 - think of this as your skin’s therapist in a bottle: it listens, it cleanses, it doesn’t strip your ceramides bare like a bad ex. It’s fragrance-free, colourant-free, pH balanced and basically soft skin in foam form. I love it because it gets rid of the grime without leaving me with that tight, “why is my face one size too small?” feeling.
✨ Deal: Get 10,000 PC Optimum points when you buy 2 participating products. (Translation: cleanser basically pays rent for itself.)

Origins GinZing™ Energizing Gel Cream
- 30ml - $38, 50ml - $53, 75ml - $69 - fall hits and suddenly my skin is like, “Moisturize me or we riot.” This gel cream is the Goldilocks of hydration - juicy enough to fight the dry air but light enough not to clog your pores. Plus, it makes you look less “I just survived a Zoom meeting marathon” and more “I got 9 hours of sleep and a green juice (FYI: I would NEVER drink anything green unless it was a Shamrock shake).”
✨ Deal: Get 10,000 PC Optimum points when you spend $100+ on participating products.
KYLIE COSMETICS Glossy Lip Kit
- $47 - kit contains: - Precision Pout Lip Liner 1.1 g - Supple Kiss Lip Glaze 3 ml - with 6 colour options: Candy Pink, Coconut, Comes Naturally, Dolce K, Espresso and Kylie - Since fall = time for lips to shine like a disco ball (instead of my skin for a change) - this kit gives you a liner sharper than your comebacks and a gloss so juicy it could double as lip jewelry. My fave? Comes Naturally, a soft pink nude that whispers “effortless chic” (even when I’ve got 3-day-old dry shampoo in my hair). Bonus: when the gloss wears off, the liner keeps holding the fort - like Spanx, but for lips.
✨ Deal: Get 20,000 PC Optimum points when you buy 2 participating products. (That’s enough points for… more lip kits, obviously.)
Bed Head Ego Boost Split End Mender
- 237ml - $27.47 - the summer fried my hair like a churro (note to self: buy a hat, not just SPF). Enter this leave-in which works overtime, smoothing frizz, mending split ends and generally tricking people into thinking I treat my hair better than I treat my inbox. Lightweight, soft, and smells like a fresh start.
✨ Deal: Get 3,000 PC Optimum points when you buy 2 participating products. Plus, score a free Bed Head Masterpiece Hairspray (57g) with any Bed Head product.

So go forth, collect those points, perfect that pout and give your skin the fall refresh it deserves - because beauty looks even better when it comes with bonus rewards!

Available now until October 3 at Shoppers Drug Mart stores across Canada and online at beauty.shoppersdrugmart.ca.

Foot loose and fancy free without breaking the bank with Curel and Avon!

Those poor feet of yours have a season of being stuffed into damp winter boots to look forward to (not) so when they're not slogging around, why not treat them to something wonderfully moisturizing that will still leave you plenty of cash for another pair of boots!

Curel Foot Therapy - 100ml - $3.99 - hydrates and softens dry, cracked feet in just 2 nights with a formula infused with shea butter, coconut milk and vitamin E tht helps build a 24 hour hydration barrier and significantly improves the look and feel of even the driest heels and feet.

What's different about this one and what I know many of you will appreciate as I've heard the complaints about foot creams that are too strong/medicinal smelling - it has pretty much no scent at all! It's also great for my favourite super-moisturizing trick of applying a layer and then putting on cotton socks and going to bed - by morning you will have the softest feet ever!

Available now at drug, grocery and mass stores across Canada.
Avon Foot Works Berry Vanilla offers the sweet scent of vanilla and berries for tired feet - available in the collection are:  Comforting Soak - 100ml - $7.99 - refreshes, relaxes and rejuvenates, Smoothing Scrub - 100ml - $7.99 - stimulates and smoothes, Moisturizing Cream - 100ml - $7.99 - soothes and refreshes.
If you're looking for a gift or just a great deal, also check out the Avon Foot Works Holiday Pedicure Collection which includes: a full sized Winter Spice Moisturizing Cream and Exfoliating Scrub, vinyl caddy, nail brush, emery board, wood orange stick, 2 toe separators, Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Ruby Slipper and nail clippers all for $14.99!

Available from your Avon rep - 1800-265-AVON or online at www.avon.ca.

Curel Itch Defense - for when that itch doesn't mean you are going to win money or kiss a fool..

My skin is not a big fan of winter.  As soon as the temperature starts to dip, I start to flake and of course with the flaking comes the itching, not to mention the eczema on my arms that just loves this time of year.  I sound like a mess, don't I?  Curel Itch Defense skin balancing Moisture Lotion to the rescue!  I've only been using it for 3 weeks and I have already seen a dramatic improvement.  Flaking and itching - gone.  Eczema - not entirely gone, but no longer bright red, itchy and gross looking, now it's just faintly pink and a little rough - you would not believe how much of a vast improvement that is from usual!  I have tried lots of creams that were supposed to be good for eczema and this is the first one that significantly improved it.  I am expecting that after a couple more weeks of use, I won't have any signs of my eczema at all.   The lotion has no smell whatsoever, which of course is a good thing with itchy skin as fragrance can cause more irritation.  I have been finding this such a good all around moisturizer that for my non-itchy areas, where I do like some scent, I have been mixing a bit of my scented moisturizer with the Curel so I can have the best of both worlds.  So whether you are seasonally dry and itchy or suffer with it all year round, you should definitely give this Curel a try, you have nothing to lose but the itch.
The bottle is huge at 480ml and retails for around $10.  Available at your friendly neighbourhood mass, grocery or drug stores across Canada.
