TIFF 2017 made bearable thanks to the Essentials Lounge 8!

New season, new skin with a peel at The Plastic Surgery Clinic - and a Tweezerman bonus!

Summer is almost over and while it's been a blast, the effects of all that fun are showing up on my skin - so I figured it was the perfect time to perk things up with a facial peel from Jenny  at The Plastic Surgery Clinic. I prefer a peel to a regular facial when seasons change as a peel helps skin cells turnover quicker to draw out impurities and damage.

The peel treatment consists of exfoliation therapy combined with dermaplaning, a mild lactic acid peel, a fruit enzyme scrub finished with a soothing green mask. They will also do the peel on your hands and decolletage and since they are the first areas to show signs of aging, I thought it was a great idea to brighten them up too!

The freakiest/neatest part of the whole thing is the dermaplaning which is small razor that is run over your face to get rid of dead skin cells - of course at the same time it gets rid of all the peach fuzz on your face - you'll really appreciate what guys go through having to shave! IT Lounge Portrait Studio - the meeting place for TIFF celebrities to hang out, stock up and give back!

The NKPR IT Lounge is one of my favourite stops during TIFF - not just because of the great products,which of course they have, but also because there is always a component of doing good that goes with the fun. After getting gussied up, celebrities swing by the Portrait Studio, manned this year by Caitlin Cronenberg in partnership with W Magazine where with every celebrity visit, the IT Lounge gives back with a donation to Artists for Peace and Justice and Best Buddies - and I get to ogle John Cusack!

Saje was on hand to connect visitors to the healing power of plants with their plant-derived essential oils and pure ingredients straight from nature and were offering up a much needed Pocket Pharmacy filled with essential oils to calm nerves, relieve pain, boost immunity and more. Those of us in the GTA will be happy to know that they are about to launch four stores here including Square One, Vaughan Mills, Yonge St. Uptown and Queen Street West.
