If you litter you suck, if you are one of the corporations that complained about the anti-litter campaign ads you also suck!

It's so rarely that I see the City of Toronto do something clever or cool - ie. Rob Ford (not cool) - that I was super impressed when I spotted the recent clever advertising campaign aimed at stopping my pet peeve - litterbugs!

Alas, it was too good to be true, no sooner did they impress me then down came the ads after some of the big name brands - whose packaging was creatively used to create the ads -  raised a stink with the City of Toronto and got the campaign pulled due to trademark infringement concerns.

The campaign slogan was, “Littering says a lot about you” and featured discarded packaging arranged to spell out what it is all of us really think of what those litterbugs out there really are.

The combinations included a Reese’s Pieces box and a bottle of Gatorade put together to spell “Pig”; a bag of Lay’s potato chips and a Krazy Glue package arranged to spell “Lazy”; a package of Fun-Dip and a Drumstick wrapper put together to spell "Dipstick" ; a Du Maurie cigarette packet and Red Bull can arranged to spell "Dumb"; Alka-Seltzer and Goldfish crackers saying “Selfish”; and a pack of Sweet'N Low and Lifesavers put together to say “Low Life.”

I think these brands need to think about corporate responsibility and since they are (no matter how inadvertently) part of the problem, also need to be part of the solution. They claim to support anti-littering initiatives but actions speak louder then words - I for one can assure them that these ads are not going to affect my love for Reece's Pieces or Lay's chips!

Since the ads have been pulled off of transit, I'm going to do my bit to make sure the word gets out there - I would make my own ad if I could think of what two products would spell Asshole... which is what I think of the person who keeps throwing their cigarette butts on my lawn - newsflash you jerk, butts are litter too!

Forget Animal Fur! Here is the Human Fur Jacket for Fall!

I discovered these awesome jackets a couple of months ago, made out of real human chest hair (or so the maker Wingo Co. says) and while I thought they would be a little warm for summer, now that the cold weather is upon us, maybe I should reconsider this. With a price tag of $4,100, each, these jackets are a bargain... if you want to be the talk of the town!

Yes, it looks gross, it probably feels gross and some designers spend hours putting this together for whatever publicity stunt... and this -alongside the Kardashian's TV show- illustrates why the human species is doomed!

Clothing Optional at London Fashion Week: Charlie Le Mindu Would Rather Go Naked!

Clothes are so overrated, darling! And so 2009! The wig maker Charlie Le Mindu presented his Spring/Summer 2011 collection with a spectacular runway: no clothes and lots of hair. That's right, Le Mindu sent naked models down the runway. I mean so NAKED, I could see all their...ahem, lady bits which I had to cover for our North American readers (mostly for Lisamarie). After topless bearded models  at Berlin Fashion Week, we've seen full nudity on the runway yesterday... so what's next? Bearded naked models? Lady Gaga might beat them all to the punch.

A slight improvement...at least she's wearing underwear!

Pam Hogg, another British designer, created this outfit which consists of some kind of very secure chastity belt (you'd need that for someone like Lisamarie). Again, I can make the same crap for you for a few bucks, it would make a great Christmas present! I know you want it.
After thousands of years, women have earned the right to design their own chastity belts and wear them in public without any clothes. Yay for us!

Lady Gaga's Got Meat on Her Back while Chantelle Shows Less Skin.

You've probably already seen Lady Gaga's VMA pictures: the pop star was her usual crazy self. No surprise there. I try not to post about her anymore or it would become "Lady Gaga Crazed in Canada" blog. However, I had to break my self imposed ban tonight when I saw the back of Lady Gaga's meat dress... or the lack of. I didn't believe the dress was really made out of meat like her Japanese Vogue cover but then I read that it was real meat! Jesus, this woman is a bigger marketing genius than Madonna! And whoever is her makeup artist deserves an award too because she actually looked beautiful last night. That makeup artist is definitely a miracle worker!

At least, she's wearing underwear!
The shoes are pretty awesome too...

I was shocked by this Chantelle Houghton's picture. Our favorite British reality TV "star" whom I mock on a regular basis, actually looked good here, so kudos!

Street (Corner) Style: Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus Work it!

Perfect body and tackiest style: as usual, Katy Perry wears this disgusting PVC dress emblazoned with ice cream cones. She's a candy girl, get it? That dress looks like our Candy girl should be working Detroit's street corners instead of that red carpet.

Mark my words: Miley Cyrus is about to give Lindsay Lohan a run for her money as the biggest Hollywood train wreck/attention whore. The underage pop tart has been terrorizing the Parisian crowd with these ripped tights, disgusting boots and plaid shirt. Such a wannabe too...if you're so cool Miley, why do you have to pair this outfit with a Chanel bag?

Katie Price Wears an iPod Crown Paired with a Tin Foil Jumpsuit. Because She Can!

Amazing! Katie Price (aka Jordan) is AMAZING! She has outdone herself...and what I really mean is she manages to look ridiculous, awful, crazy and slutty all at once! This ought to be some kind of world record. Lisamarie always makes fun of how I'm distracted by shiny objects - I've got a 3 seconds attention span - but do you blame me for being distracted by this? I'd like to point out: she's not just wearing a tin foil outfit, she's also wearing a crown made out of iPods! At least she spared us from her camel toe by wearing a skirt on top of that jumpsuit.  It's still mesmerizing, though. I love you Jordan  but perhaps that botox has gone to your brain head!

Drew Barrymore needs to fire her hair stylist AND her makeup artist. This is the type of makeup I put on my face was I was 6 years old. I know soft curls and bed hair are in right now ,  but this is just bad frizzy morning-after-alcohol-fuelled-Ibiza-party type of hair.

Phoebe Price is...you know, Phoebe Price! She manages to wear about 20 colors, patterns and textures all at once and that's a talent. I don't think I've got that much variety in my entire wardrobe. Next to Katie Price, she still looks understated, and it's scary. Phoebe: you even fail at being bad!

What Would You Do if You Had Way Too Much Money? I've Got The Recipe to Spend it All!

Would you buy these ridiculously overpriced items? I bet you've always been dying to wear leggings with holes on your knees like this footballer's wife! What better way to let people know that you don't need knee pads? Paired with a $130 Twenty8Twelve T-shirt from Sienna Miller's line, it's a match made in the dumpster heaven!

If you would like to throw more money down the drain, you could purchase a $130 Hermes coloring book, yes you've read correctly. I suggest you use your Chanel eyeliner or grab a $1000 white gold Mont-Blanc pen to color it with your little boo boo, for a truly priceless bonding time!

You could also buy your 2 year-old cashmere mittens for a mere $115 from the same Hermes store. There is only one problem: there is only one size available for these mittens (2 years) so what happens when your kid outgrows them? Freeze to death? Or worse, buy $5 mittens at ...H&M? Nooooooo!

At last, if you're fed up with bathing in banknotes every morning, you can always buy a few Louis Vuitton bags!

We presented you this $54,000 Louis Vuitton bag a little while ago, but with a bit of luck you could also get the $45,000 LV bag from 2 seasons ago.

Good luck with spending all that money! It's tough but someone's got to do it!

Weirdest Runway Show Ever: Patrick Mohr Wants You to Be a Man or an Alien...

I'm not often lost for words but when I first saw Patrick Mohr's Berlin fashion show: a long string of expletives came out of my mouth followed by complete silence....and then followed by laughter. The clothes are not much to look at so I guess he needed something to distract us so much we would not care about them at all. If you're not paying attention to the clothes, you can't really criticize them, can you?  Beyond the genius PR stunt here (this guy only started his label in 2008 and I had never heard of him before), I hope the facial hair trend catches on so that for once Lisamarie would be effortlessly on trend! Screw makeup, ladies! What we really want is a beard and looking like coneheads!
If Mohr likes men so much, perhaps he should design menswear instead...I mean, that's just an idea...

When I was wondering the other day how deep we could sink into the world of fashion buffoonery, here is the answer to my question: we haven't reached the bottom yet!

This just in: Padded bikinis for children are a bad idea! The kid's pole dancing kit though - I kind of like it!

picture courtesy of Kate Mack Swimwear
It appears that I am not the only one that finds bikinis on little girls disturbing - although it seems not for the same reason.  I was just reading an article on BBC.com about how Primark has withdrawn their range of padded bikini tops for girls as young as seven - and I just had to laugh - what kind of moronic parent is buying their 7 year old a padded bra top?!  Not that I don't see lots of overdeveloped kids these days thanks to whatever the crap it is they put in food - but seriously, companies make lots of stupid things, that's no reason to buy it!  Of course everyone is screaming "premature sexualisation" and blaming Primark, but really isn't it the parent's own fault for buying their girls something so ridiculous in the first place?  Can you really blame a company for trying to make a (misguided) buck...  I've never considered the corporate world my moral compass.

And just when I thought it couldn't get funnier they started talking about other questionable items that were pulled by companies including - get this - a toy Pole-dancing kit!
Tesco pulled this kit from their toy section after what I can only assume were complaints and not because they were making too much money off it.  Can you imagine the awkward silence on Christmas morning after this is unwrapped by your sister's kids?!  If you never want your sister to speak to you again you should have a hunt for this great gift idea!  And just think, little Sally who really seems kind of dim, well who are we kidding, she'll never make it to university - she could get an early start on her inevitable career!
