I never thought I would say that... but Britney Spears is not a girl anymore! These designers dresses, worn for the new Harper's Bazaar photo shoot, are very... femme fatale!

Shape shares the beauty products that have changed lives!

Along with all the good advice on eating well and exercising (that I will read and then ignore), January's Shape magazine shares the pros "much have" beauty products.  I think the article is interesting because as a beauty junkie, I try a lot of different things but I don't really have any loyalty to just one product.  Even when I try something amazing it doesn't stop me trying other things because there is always a little voice telling me that there might be something even better out there!  It's probably not normal but at least this blog gives me a good excuse, I am now duty bound to try new things, just for you!  Anyhow, check out the article with normal people who try good things and then keep using them:

Lady Gaga Wears a Meat Bikini and Daisy Lowe Casts for BeetleJuice

That's one crazy blog post today, but I had to post Lady Gaga's Vogue Japan cover! She's wearing a MEAT bikini. I guess "getting more meat on your bones" takes on a whole new meaning here. The cover was shot by the creepy controversial Terry Richardson for Vogue Hommes (men edition). Men love naked women and red meat, so this is probably the ultimate cover for them. Somehow, I don't find this cover sexy, but who am I to judge? I can't wait to hear PETA's reaction to this photo shoot! It should be fun!

Next to this, Daisy Lowe's outfit looks ordinary. She looks like she's casting for a Tim Burton movie. What a weird outfit for a GQ red carpet...which is a men's magazine event!

The Future is Bright... Well, at Least in Australia.

Since I've been watching Australia's next top model religiously - by far the most serious show in the franchise about finding real models and the most bitchy too- I've also been keeping a watch on Australian designers like Collette Dinnigan - and discovered an interesting fashion magazine in the process: FashionTrend. It looks edgy and modern, and this photo shoot looked stunning. I love the contrast between bright flowy fabrics with soft patterns against the metallic architecture.

I was a little concerned by the asymmetrical haircut at first, but you know what? I actually like it!

It's All About The Eyes: from Magazines to Your Makeup Box!

This picture from a July editorial in the Japanese Vogue sent me into a purple frenzy... not that I could ever reproduce this amazing makeup but I had a sudden need craving for purple eyeshadow. Whooosh... I added it to my wish list!

Ombre Magnétique - Eyeshadow from Lancôme ($25) - this shade named "Cherry Chérie" is a deep sparkly plum, I love it. I've been using Lancôme eyeshadows for the longest time: I remember stealing my mom's when I was a teenager. They always had shades that would show on black skin and in the 90's it wasn't so common.

I think this gold  YSL cream eyeshadow will complete this look very nicely - Fard Lumière Aquarésistant ($35) -  No5  Golden Sands.

In Marie-Claire, the green eyeshadow maybe a tad over the top but it's freaking amazing!
MAC has a couple of similar shades in their Dare to Wear Collection  like the Sassy Green shade - but it's matte.

The MAC "Partylicious" pigment from the Alice+Olivia collection ($23.50) is more in keeping with this look eventhough it's a turquoise.

This sparkly light green - "Green Goddess" eyeshadow from Urban Decay ($17) is an alternative.

Pure White Soft Khol (Rimmel, $3.60) to apply on your waterline to get this retro look.

If white pencil is too much for you - Lise Watier Duo Yeux Ombre et Lumière Liner  ($20) has pastels pencils instead.

Why isn't Rob Pattinson naked?

Rob Pattinson does absolutely nothing for me, but I know how millions of women, like Lisamarie, drool all over this guy. This is why I don't get this photo spread for Details magazine (March edition): Rob Pattinson is fully dressed while female models pose with him in various states of nakedness. Boohoo. At least it looks like Rob took a shower before the shoot and that's a good thing.

 

 

The rest of the (beautiful) pictures contain full nudity (not Rob, you pervs!), with real nipples and stuff and I would not want you to faint. If you want to see the rest, pick up the next Details edition!

Gucci 2010 Spring Campaign Makes You Want to Vacation Forever!

Look at these glorious pictures! Look at them! It's minus 10 C right now and I could really do with lounging by the pool on some tropical island, the wind blowing my hair, and wearing these AMAZINGLY HOT shoes. Let's face it, if I buy these $$$ clothes, I won't be able to go on vacation for the next 10 years. If I do choose to go on vacation instead, all I'll be able to afford will be a pair of flip flops. Choices, choices.

In the meantime, here are the pictures of the upcoming Gucci Spring/Summer campaign. It's styled beautifully: grays, black, and white designs really come alive with this intense aqua blue in the background.

Now stop dreaming, time to go back to your -cold- reality!

Weekend Goodies: Jennifer Still Classy, Lindsay...Still Lindsay!

 

Jennifer Garner gives a pretty candid interview in W Magazine (January edition). She wears a beautiful  bright Jean-Paul Gaultier design on the cover, while her photo spread inside is all black and white.

Now you've probably heard of Lindsay Lohan's edgy photo shoot for the Italian magazine Muse. Frankly, I'm all about edgy pictures but this spread left me cold. Threesomes? Intercourse simulation? That could be OK, it it was visually stunning, but it's not. This is definitely no Steve Meisel photo shoot. There are no beautiful clothes on display and Lindsay's face looks... haggard! When the wonders of Photoshop cannot save you, it's time to retire...
