Fragrant Friday - Wonderstruck Enchanted by Taylor Swift

If Taylor Swift isn't the cutest little thing ever, I don't know who is! Of course she can't have a decent relationship to save her life but that hasn't done her song-writing career any harm so I guess it's not all bad! Like all self-respecting celebrities, Taylor has a couple of fragrances under her belt including her newest one:

Wonderstruck Enchanted - 100ml EDP - $78, 50ml EDP - $63, 10ml EDP Rollerball - $22, 200ml Scented Body Lotion - $42 - an Oriental gourmand with top notes of wild berries, passion fruit and pink poppy; heart notes of peony, sugar-glazed champaca petals and white freesia; and base notes of white musk, hypnotic vanilla and blond woods.

Taylor knows what I like, this is exactly the sort of scent I gravitate towards - a little sweet, a little warm with just a touch of floral. This is a must smell the next time you are out!

Available at Shoppers Drug Mart now and coming to Sears, London Drugs, Sephora (although it already seems to be online so I'm not sure on that one), Jean Coutu and Rexall Pharma Plus in December.

Fragrant Friday - Taylor Swift Wonderstruck

It's not enough that Taylor Swift got to date Taylor Lautner, the cute as a button Swift has a new fragrance and a commercial where she wears the most amazing dress by Christian Siriano! Why she wouldn't use Lautner as her love interest in it I have no idea, the boy that's there pales in comparison!

The fragrance is described as a charming gourmand – floral with sparkling fruity tones on a wooden background. With top notes of raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom; heart notes of sweet vanilla, sundrenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus; and base notes of golden amber, musk, sandalwood and peach.

If you've been by a Shoppers in the past couple of weeks you've probably already smelled the tester - I must admit, I have been spraying myself with it every time I go in - it's sweet and fruity and exactly the kind of fragrance that appeals to me! Not to mention the adorable bottle! I think this one is on my Christmas list!
50ml EDP - $63, 100ml EDP - $78, 10ml Rollerball - $22, 200ml Body Lotion - $42, 200ml Bath Gel - $32

Available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart until January after which it will also be available at The Bay, Sephora, Sears and London Drugs.

Have you smelled it? Do you love it? Is Taylor S. crazy to have dumped Taylor L.? All important questions!

Taylor Swift is the newest easy, breezy, beautiful CoverGirl!

The talented Grammy award winning Ms. Swift can now add CoverGirl to her long list of accomplishments.  20 year old Taylor just finished shooting her first advertisements and will represent a new line of luxury products for the brand.  The ads are scheduled to debut in Janaury 2011.

She is so talented and adorable that I should just hate her, but I can't bring myself to - and I just love that CoverGirl doesn't use cookie-cutter celebrities to shill their wares.  She joins my other fave CoverGirls - Ellen DeGeneres, Queen Latifah, and Drew Barrymore!

I'm looking forward to seeing her ads and finding out what this new luxury line is, I'll keep you posted!

American Music Awards: Why So Drab?

The American Music Awards red carpet was almost recession worthy tonight. It was black, white, grey and tan outfits all around. The occasional shimmer and sparkle reminded us it was still an awards show and not a funeral.

The stage outfits have been getting weirder by the minute courtesy of Lady Gaga and Rihanna, or maybe I'm just getting old and I don't understand what's edgy anymore. I do fear for Rihanna's state of mind though, she got a new tattoo on her chest!

The Black Eyed Peas' hairdresser has mad skills!

Nicole Kidman, frozen in time and wearing a grey asymmetrical dress, another trend of the evening.

Kerry Hilson, covered up in a black and sparkly number.

Kelly Clarkson in another black and sparkly dress. Do you think all these celebrities use the same discount stylist?

Rihanna showing off a new classy tattoo and wearing a weird stage getup.

Alien called from 1979 and wants his bones back. I know it's a stage outfit but it's kind of a mess. Lady Gaga has redefined the word "weird". Look it up in your 2010 dictionary.  The dancers in the background seem to be having a good time though...so who am I to judge?

The big winner of the evening (appearing by video link), Taylor Swift, dressed more like a Mormon than a young country star. Does that mean that she actually has talent?

Black and gold for Alicia Keys. And weird Heidi Hair. She should ask help from the Black Eyed Peas' hairdresser.

Same hair on Jennifer Lopez. Ugh. Also the boxer theme is so Madonna from last year. Get on with the program, girl.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. My bitchiness needs to be refueled.

Update: Here is what the West Coast missed: Jennifer Lopez falling on her ass. Don't worry it didn't hurt with all that padding.
