Beauty Through The Ages with The Style Collective

My rule of thumb though - if you've already lived through and worn the style of the decade when it actually happened, you should avoid it the next time the trend comes around - which means I am never dressing like Madonna again - good news for everyone!

It's that time of year again when there are so many changes in the weather day to day and even hour to hour that I never know what to wear! Easy way to dress up an outfit and prepare for a cold neck is a scarf - here are a few I like:

Lancôme and Michelle Phan hookup to make some video magic!

Those clever folks at Lancôme have realized the power of the internet and have signed YouTube phenomenon, Michelle Phan as their official video makeup artist.  Phan, a 22-year-old art student who is the most popular makeup artist on YouTube, will create special videos for the French beauty brand. 

If you haven't seen Michelle in YouTube action, you must check her out - her videos are totally amazing, seem like they are professionaly produced and so much fun!  You can find Michelle's YouTube channel here.  My favourites are her Barbie transformation and her Seductive Vampire look. I'm always impressed and amazed how effortlessly she seems to transform herself.  It would be difficult enough to apply these looks to someone else, doing it on yourself is so much harder!

Her YouTube channel has more than 500,000 subscribers and her videos have been viewed more than 117 million times. She began posting videos to YouTube in May 2007 and quickly became known for a signature style comprised of her melodic voice, easy-to-follow steps, black-and-white title pages and lullaby-like music. Her videos run the gamut from transformations into Snow White and Lady Gaga to eye makeup tutorials to club makeup how-to's.
