Eye Love Wednesday - Blinc Fountain Of Youthful Color Eye Shadow Primer

The warm weather is finally back and it's been both a blessing and a curse - a blessing because of course I was totally sick of winter but a curse because now when you spend 30 minutes getting your makeup just perfect, heat and humidity can have is sliding back off your face in no time! This is the time of year that primers can be your best friend - especially a good eye primer like:

Blinc Fountain Of Youthful Color Eye Shadow Primer - $24.95 - in Light Tone and Flesh Tone - offers full coverage by concealing and filling existing fine lines, eliminating redness and providing a smooth lid for shadow application that keeps eye shadow crease, fade, smudge and run-free all day, while providing skin with anti-aging benefits that clinical studies have shown to decrease fine lines after just six weeks by 67% and increase skin's moisture after just one week by 53%.

Just the tiniest amount is needed to cover the eyelid - I found if you use too much, shadow won't apply as smoothly (and you'll run through the tube twice as fast). It also makes eye shadow so budge-proof that you would expect it to be impossible to get off but it's actually easily removed with any gentle makeup remover - it's like waterproof makeup without the removal hassle!

Available now at Sephora stores across Canada.

Mascara Monday - Blinc Mascara Amplified

Blinc Mascara Amplified - $30 - in Black and Dark Brown - for buildable, glamourous volume and length that stays on as long as you want it to.
Provides incredible, buildable volume and length that is smudge-proof, sweat-proof, water-resistant and flake-proof.

That adds a glossy, volumizing and extending coat that forms tiny water-resistant “tubes” around the lash - that allows you to add as many coats as you want, wet or dry, to build your desired look.
But what impresses me the most is how you remove it - just apply a little warm water along with some gentle pressure, and the tubes easily slide off your lashes - you actually see the tiny tubes in your hand as it comes off - which is one of those creepy/cool beauty things that amuse me so.

You have to have both the water and the pressure together though - you can cry or sleep in the mascara and it's not going anywhere - an oil-based remover won't get rid of it either which is great news for anyone with an oily eye area who is sick of their mascara smudging!

Available now at Sephora and sephora.ca.
