The FLARE World Runway Tour presented by TRESemmé hits Toronto!

Last week on Friday, 350 Torontonians attended the second annual FLARE World Runway Tour, which delivered an exclusive view of the world's best fall fashion and beauty trends live on the runway.

The presentation was followed by a runway show highlighting the trends discussed which included everything from pastels to punk to plaids and had us all longing to get down to Holt Renfrew and pick a few (or more) of the pretties up!

Before the show guests were indulged with some primping and pampering for their hair with TRESemmé stylists and makeup and nails with the artists from Estée Lauder.

And everyone went home with a bag full of goodies from the sponsors to help keep their glam look going at home!

Natural Shampoos from Kiss My Face, Just Bee Natural, TRESemmé, Nexxus and Live Clean!

I like how more and more companies are giving consumers natural options - I don't necessarily love all of them and I will probably never go the organic route (only because of the short shelf life combined with my hoarding problem don't make a good combo) but there are some really great ones out there and here are a few that I've tried or had my eye on lately:

Kiss My Face Miss Treated Shampoo and Conditioner - 325ml - $7.95 - for everyday use, perfect for dry/damaged hair - replenishes moisture and shine for beautiful hair.  contain palmarosa mint - nourishes colour treated and permed hair. No SLS, parabens or phthalates, no animal ingredients or animal testing, no artificial colour or synthetic preservatives.

This made the top of my list because it's one of the few that I have ever actually used all the way up! I like how well the shampoo lathers, how it cleans without stripping and I love the minty smell!

Just Bee Natural "Quenched" Sparkling Pom Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner - 700ml - $6.99 - uses the essence of pomegranate and soy protein to hydrate and replenish parched hair to leave you with healthy and absolutely radiant looking hair.  SLS/sulfate, paraben and phosphate free. Contains biodegradable ingredients with botanical extracts. Available at Loblaws.

It's always the smell with me, isn't it? But I can't help it in this case, it's so deliciously fruity smelling that the soft hair it provides me with is just a huge bonus!

Live Clean Enviro-Kidz Line - Berry Burst Shampoo, Fruit Explosion Shampoo and Tropical Splash Detangler - $6.99 - neither Christelle or I have kids so we don't normally talk about kid's products at all but somebody said something interesting the other day about how kids don't have to try to be environmentally conscious they are growing up in a generation that just is.  So it's interesting that more brands aren't doing environmentally friendly lines geared towards kids.  Live Clean obviously understands and have come out with this tear-free line that is: made with up to 98% plant ingredients, hypoallergenic, free of petroleum, sulfates, parabens and pthalates, phosphates, pure vegan with biodegradable ingredients, cruelty free and in recyclable packaging  and in scents that will appeal to them.

Dry shampoos from Marc Anthony, göt2b, ORIBE, GOSH and TRESemmé!

Dry shampoos are my savior on mornings when I just can't help but press the snooze button 1 or 10 times!  They work best for me when I have washed my hair the day before, by day 3 my hair, being fine is too limp looking for anything but a hat to help!  I am always testing out dry shampoos looking for ones that are clear, don't flake, don't smell bad and make my hair look clean and shiny. Here are the ones I have been testing out and loving lately:

Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo - 150ml - $11.99 - absorbs oil without leaving a build-up or gritty texture, adds volume and protects colour without the wash - a blend of Chamomile Extract, Stinging Nettle Extract and Pro Vitamin B5 offers added cleansing, conditioning and shine benefits so that your hair not only looks clean, it looks healthy. Simply spray it into your hair at the root, wait a minute, brush or comb out and style as usual.  If you are flat ironing for the second day around, iron first and then spray at the root for extra body.

göt2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo - 122g - $7.99 - refreshes your hair and helps you recreate your style for days you want to skip shampooing.  Spray in short bursts 8 inches above your head into sections of dry hair.  Using your fingertips, work in to your roots and then thoroughly brush out.

ORIBE Dry Texturizing Spray - 300ml - $44 - for bigger, better, full-on glamorous hair. This invisible dry hair spray builds in incredible volume and sexy texture.  Patented polymers absorb oil at the roots, leaving you with just-styled hair for days (and nights).  It's very simple to use, just shake and spray where you want to fight oil or create volume and style.  I have to say, the volume this one adds is amazing!   You can find it at Donato Salon + Spas

GOSH Fresh Up! Powder Shampoo - 150ml - $9.99 - to revitalize greasy, dull and lifeless hair in-between washes and leave hair feeling clean, fragrant and full of body and provide great re-styling ability, giving hair hold and extra volume.  Hold can 30 cm from hair and spray. Gently massage in with fingertips, making sure that the powder gets down to the roots and brush out.

TRESemmé FreshStart Dry Shampoo - 161g - $7.99 - contains mineral clay and citrus to refresh your hair by removing oil and odour while adding volume.  Spry lightly and evenly on dry hair, holding 8-12 inches from head and leave in for 1-2 minutes.  Brush out and style as usual.

New and Notable at Shoppers Drug Mart - Biotherm, Pur Minerals, Halle Berry, TRESemme and Annabelle!

Biotherm Celluli Laser S.Code - 200ml - $55 - we all know that the stomach is the hardest place to lose weight, particularly difficult because fat cells on the stomach store fat much more quickly than other parts of the body and are less responsive to exercise. Celluli Laser S. Code is a smoothing and firming treatment designed to specifically target cellulite-prone areas and the loss of firmness of the skin on the stomach-waist area. While you are at Shoppers, swing by the travel size section - you can fill up a small clear plastic makeup bag to give to people you know travel or go to the gym.  I like this gift idea because it's good for the guys too and you can spend as much or as little as you want and still get a decent amount of items.  I like these TRESemmé Moisture Rich Shampoo & Conditioner - 89ml - $1.59 each, oh and little deodorants are great too, unless it's someone in the office known to be smelly, then it just comes off kind of passive aggressive...
