Suncoat Water-Based Nail Polish - with swatches!

Suncoat Water-Based Nail Polish - $9.99 - in 22 shades made with mineral pigments and natural colourants: French Pink, Cotton Candy, Candy Show, Early Down, Rose, Golden Peach, Sienna, Soft Coral, Apricot, Cinnamon, Bamboo, Opal, Berry, Glory, Midnight Purple, Poppy Red, Red Ocher, Amethyst, Lavender, Lilac, Platinum, Peacock Blue along with a Clear Top Coat - the chemical solvents that you find in most polishes have been replaced by water - and contains 70% water. When applied, water vapor is released in to the air, not chemical fumes making it environmentally friendly and virtually odor-free.
Golden Peach
Lilac

I like the idea of a water based polish without all the chemicals in theory but in practice it just didn't have the lasting power that everyday polishes do - within 3 days I was seriously chipped and that is after using a regular topcoat, not the Suncoat one. I also didn't find the polish went on very smoothly, it tended to gunk up in spots and it felt kind of gritty. This would be a great choice for young girls that you want to keep chemicals from but not a great choice for big girls unless you have the time to be reapplying your polish every few days!
