The texture is very light so you can layer it under moisturizer without skin feeling the least bit heavy, if your skin is very oily you might even find that the serum is all you need. You will be amazed at how much brighter and even your skin will look after using for a while, this isn't a quick fix, it takes about 12 weeks to start getting the full effects. My only complaint would be that I wish it had a level indicator like Time In A Bottle does so I would know how much is left in it - the bottle is opaque and fairly heavy on it's own so it's a guessing game!
