Biotherm, ROC and Lise Watier want to help you avoid man hands, wino nose and lizard lips!

If I didn't realize it was December before, this past chilly weekend sure brought it home!  As the temperature drops, all my sensitive bits turn into a dried out mess.  I'm just thankful that I don't live in pioneer times where women must have had to smear their skin with butter or something equally gnarly to stay moisturized.  Keep your butter in the fridge and try these instead.
Now when I say "man hands" of course I am not talking about our gay or metro man friends (let's face it, they are better groomed then we are)  I'm talking about that part of the male population who would rather have a spike jabbed in their eyeball then get a manicure and who go through winter not wearing their gloves half of the time because it's "sissy" - you know who I mean...  Biotherm - age delaying hand & nail treatment is my hand cream of choice when the weather changes.  The best thing about it?  It's water resistant so I can wash my hands a bunch of times before I need to reapply.  It has all kinds of fun ingredients like seaweed extract (which is a great moisturizer even though it sounds weird), has UVB filters to help you avoid old lady hands and is rich in D. Panthenol which strengthens your nails.  It is rich without being greasy, soaks in fast and doesn't leave oil marks all over my papers at work.  At a Biotherm counter near you 100ml (3.38 fluid oz.) $29.50.

ROC - Enydrial Extra-Emollient Creme - meant for very dry and atopic skin caused by climatic factors or medications.  In other words, when Lisamarie's nose goes all red and peely from the cold, slap some of this cream on her face, stat!  Totally does the job, gets rid of the redness and makes everything smooth and happy again.  I only have this issue around my nose but this would be good anywhere on your face.  It contains Omega 3 and 6 as well as essential fatty acids (which I am going to blame 5 of my extra pounds on, I'm sure the fatty acids are leaching into my thighs!). 40ml (1.4 fluid oz) $20 at the drugstore.

Lise Watier - Hydra S.O.S. Anti-dryness Lip Balm - thank the heavens this is back!  It launched last year around this time and then at some point disappeared.  I'm sure it's because this is a product specifically for the winter.  What they don't understand is that it is so good, I would have used it in the summer too, but by the time I was out, it was gone.  This year I will be buying two!  Why did I like it so much?  It's a gel-cream but not the least bit sticky so it's perfect under your lipstick and of course since it's me we're talking about, I like the smell.  I can't quite put my finger on what that smell is, maybe someone else can help me out?  I'm smelling something lemony-vanillay... but whatever it is, I like it!  The balm is enriched with Omega 3 and 6 and oils from Incalnchi and Marula plants.  10ml (.34 fluid oz) $19, which ain't cheap, but so worth it!  Lizard lips begone!
