Shoppers has also added a few online components for Valentine’s Day that are really unique and cute. They've created a gift guide for Valentine’s Day at www.loveiseverywhere.ca (French: www.amourtoujours.ca) , which has links to a Love Notes poem generator and an iPhone app called the Shoppers Drug Mart Lip Makeover App. Love Notes (found here: http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/Beauty-And-Body/Love-Notes.aspx), which lets users create a love poem (romantic, funny or for a friend) by choosing predetermined words and then emails it to that special someone. Once you’ve completed the poem, the generator also pops out a couple of gifts ideas that your special someone might be interested in.
The other option is the Lip App, which you can access here: http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/Beauty-And-Body/Valentines-Day-Gift-Guide.aspx . The Lip Makeover App allows you to upload a picture of yourself, so you can try out 12 different lip shades and after finding the perfect shade, users can send a cyber smooch to anyone via an e-kiss or you can post it on your Facebook wall.

So I finally had some extra $$ and indulged myself on the Physician's Formula Beige Mood Boosting Powder. (I debated over getting the bronzer or the powder, but finally settled on the powder. For a number of reasons, really, but I won't get into that.) The first day, I applied it using my Jane Iredale Kabuki brush and I didn't really feel like I was wearing anything. And not in a good way. The next day I used my Quo Powder brush and what a difference!
ReplyDeleteI've never used one of these fancy pressed powders with the multi-coloured parts - Lord, I feel grandmotherly old! - but I was impressed. It even covered my spring rosacea outbreak (which looks like a fine sunburn on my chest & neck) and survived all the licking.
Oh, that. Well, I'm a dog groomer. Anything I wear has to be lick proof. And preferably non-toxic when ingested. And I can tell you now, the best foundation for groomers is Vichy Normateint!
You will have to be officially in charge of whether products pass the lick test or not then! I don't have a dog and I just don't want Christelle licking me... ;-)
