Help People for Good make your city a nicer place!

People for Good is a new social movement that is encouraging Canadians to be nicer to one another. While I love the concept I despair a little bit that such a thing is even necessary. Sadly, it seems there is no arguing that a disturbing degree of rudeness and self-centered-ness exists out there that would be so simple to fix. People just need to remember that we don't all live in our own individual bubble and that there are other people out there!

How easy is it to join the movement? Just do a good deed for someone every day! Imagine if every single person did just one tiny nice thing every day for someone else what a great place this would be to live?!

If you want to donate a kidney go ahead, but really they're just talking about something as simple as giving up your subway seat, holding the door open for the person behind you, letting someone into traffic or buying your co-worker a coffee. They also suggest smiling at a stranger or waving at a fellow subway passenger - I might not recommend that one in Toronto, I did learn after I moved here that many people find that quite off-putting!

You can find more info on the movement at www.peopleforgood.ca and since I know Beauty Crazed readers are the nicest people around (except Christelle) I would love to hear all about your good deed today!
