Finding a blush that even shows on dark skin can be quite a challenge. Here is a quick selection of what I've been using lately:
Les Tissages de Chanel (40 Tweed Ambre - $45)
This beautiful blush is textured to make it look like tweed (the picture really doesn't do it justice). A subtle gold shimmer really makes this blush pop on my cheeks. The first day I had this blush on, two people told me I looked "healthy" and "fresh". Granted, it's not the cheapest blush, but I love it.
Laura Geller (Sunswept, $35)
Like the Chanel blush above, this pink blush contains hints of gold as well as a touch of golden brown. The mix of pigments give an amazing color and a beautiful glow to your cheeks.
Pür Minerals Copper Sienna ($16)
As a cheaper alternative, this mineral blush uses strong pigments in a classic coral hue.

Nice! I can understand what you mean about the dark skin thing. Sometimes blushes look so pretty in the pan, and then when I swatch them, it looks so bright pink against my skin. I'll definitely check these out. Great post! :)
ReplyDeleteWell if the blush pigments are not strong enough, or if the color is too close to my natural complexion, you won't even know I have blush on. I wasted my money a few times on useless blush!

where can I get laura geller products in Canada (Toronto)?
ReplyDeleteE-bay is your best bet now since Sephora stopped carrying it. As far as I'm aware, there is no place to buy online that will ship to Canada other then E-bay. HTH!
