This tee from Jacob makes a difference and a fashion statement!

It's hard not to be moved by the pictures of the destruction in Haiti that are all over our morning newspapers.  You may not be able to go over there and do something in person but it doesn't mean you can't lend a helping hand from here.  Jacob has made it as easy as buying a t-shirt!  Jacob is raising funds to help support reconstruction efforts in the devastated country by selling a specially designed t-shirt at its 120 Jacob and Jacob Connexion stores across the country.  100% of the t-shirt's $15 sale price will be donated to Oxfam.  Jacob hopes to reach its goal of raising $150,000.  They hope that their Let's rebuild Haiti together t-shirt will also encourage new donations.

Designed by Jacob's Graphic Design team, the image on the t-shirt shows a helping hand shaped by hand-written sentences, several of which are in Haitian Creole, Jacob donated the t-shirts' manufacturing, transportation and handling costs as well as printing costs with the help of its printer, Madison Avenue Studios.  Together, they have made it possible for 100% of all proceeds from the sale of the t-shirt to be donated to Oxfam.

Jacob chose Oxfam as a partner for its involvement in the field, its mission to find sustainable solutions and its knowledge of Haiti.  Oxfam has in fact been present in Haiti since 1978.  Oxfam is currently supplying survivors with clean drinking water, medicine and medical supplies, hygiene kits and relief supplies, while ensuring aid coordination in the field.

Drop by your local Jacob or Jacob Connexion store starting Friday (February 5th) to lend your own helping hand to Haiti by purchasing one of these great t-shirts!
