Chanel Le Vernis Pirate, Riviera and Mat Top Coat Velvet swatches!

If you've been enjoying my swatches for the upcoming Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet collection you might be interested to see how matching matte nails will look with the new Mat Top Coat!
Le Vernis in Pirate - which is a re-release is a very rich red.
Here it is with the Mat Top Coat.
And this was an experiment to see if it would shine up again after being matte - it will but if you look close there is some bubbling.
I thought Riviera was close to Rose Exuberant from the collection and wanted to see how it would look matte.
Riviera with the Mat Top Coat
And back to shiny - again with the bubbles!

What do I think of the Mat Top Coat? Not a fan - I like my nails shiny and having them matte just feels strange and wrong to me so I'm passing on this one! I'll stick to matte lips and shiny tips!

  1. I also prefer shiny - for both of these colours at least.

The red is such a pretty deep red xo

  5. I think the mat top coat gives an interesting look...the pink and red colors are gorgeous though! Wonder what happens when you put Chanel mat top coat on non-Chanel nail color...

  6. You made me curious too so I just tried it - works exactly the same as on Chanel polish!

  7. I agree. I like my nails shiny. I can't imagine wanting them dull and flat.
