Bijin
Beauty Tools - $35
These
funky and clever dual-ended brushes are the perfect tools for every gorgeous gal
on the go! Keep the tools neat and pretty in this fabulous fan-style case. The
set includes blush / foundation brush (pink), eyeshadow / lip brush (blue), angled eye shadow
/ eye smudge brush (purple) and fine liner / ultra-fine liner brush (yellow).
Love the case and love the coloured bristles - there wasn't a tester and I didn't want to be one of "those" people that manhandle product so I'm not sure how soft the brushes are but they sure are cute!

Bijin
Bento Beauty Box Face / Eye Palette -
$15
The
bento box of beauty! Dare to play with this clever double layer face and eye
palette – the perfect tool for creating a fun and coordinated look. Four eye
shadow shades and one blush shade equals multiple possibilities. Available in Palettes 1, 2, 3, 4
It doesn't show in the picture, but each palette has another layer that opens with the blush inside. The sizing is generous and as I said, I don't know about pigmentation because there was no tester - I'm not crazy about the cardboard casing because I always end up wrecking it by putting it someplace wet - my friend Helen thinks the packaging is really cute and likes how slim it is so it will fit anywhere - I suspect she is less spastic than I am so doesn't have the water concerns.

Bijin Ink Liner - $10
A liquid liner with all the colour and shine you could ever hope for! Available in the shades Cherry Blossom, Cool Cat - turquoise, Violet Vixen, Paradise Yellow - gold, Envy - acid green and Midnight Fox - black.
There was a tester for one of these and the pigmentation was strong and I especially liked the firm tapered tip!

Bijin
Lip Gloss - $10
Finish
off any beauty look with these gorgeously pigmented lip glosses. Available in
the shades Berry Kiss, Hawaiian Shimmer, Coral Chic and Tickled Pink.
I also tested this and it comes in a squeezy tube type applicator, the tester colour was quite light but it did seem to be quite opaque and not sticky.
Has anyone seen/bought anything from this line yet and if so, what do you think?

LOOOOVE the fan bag for the brushes, it's so cute! i wanted to check out this brand but shoppers didn't have any testers out and i didn't want to purchase it without swatching =/. hopefully they'll have testers soon...
ReplyDeleteI saw the Bijin display yesterday, I thought it was Quo at first!
ReplyDeleteI have two of these, the one on the far left and the one on the far right. Over primer (I used NYX's white base) they swatched exactly as they looked in the pan. I did a FOTD with the green-with-neutrals quad and it lasted all day (and through a nap!). The blushes are a little too pigmented at first swipe for my NARS Siberia skin, but they sheer down well.
ReplyDeleteI wish I liked the other two palettes but blues and pinks are dodgy on me. :/
I just picked one of the pallets, palette #4 today. I've been eyeing it for about 2 1/2 months now. I did a light swatch so far but I don't have a camera to snap a few pics of it. I can let you know once I do a proper swatch tomorrow how it looks and feels etc!
ReplyDeleteI would really like to know if anyone has gotten or seen a set of the brushes are on display and touched them. The girl at Shoppers said that people are buying them but didn't give a very good response when I asked if anyone like them.
ReplyDeleteI want to buy a set since I don't have a real nice set of brushes. I purchased the Quo set that came in the brown snake skin looking case. They're nice but too small and awkward to hold on a daily basis.
I only saw these the one time at my Shoppers, the brushes sold out in a couple of weeks. I was under the impression that this was a new line to Shoppers and they were going to be having new collections coming in but this is the only one I ever saw and they never restocked any of the items that sold out. So I'm afraid I can't help you. If you are lucky though you might find a holiday set of the full sized Quo brushes on sale now though!
ReplyDeleteBest, Lisamarie
I finally picked up the brushes. They still have sold out at the location I was at in the city where I shop. They seem to still have a bit of the products there. Maybe it was a trial run to see if it would sell? The holiday sets of full sized brushes have sold out at every location in the city that I've been to. Hopefully the Bijin are nice to work with.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! About 2 months after the winter holidays, I was doing some bargain hunting - shopping the "clearout" section at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. I noticed some Bijin Lipgloss, Liner, and Face/Eye Palettes. The lipgloss and liner didn't really interest me, and the palettes had been used already. I noticed a colourful fan with a footprint on it next to the makeup, and I was curious enough to pick it up. Inside were some of the softest makeup brushes ever! There was no tag, or barcode on it. I was thinking about just leaving the store with it, but I suspected that it was part of the Bijin line, which it was. When I took it up to the cashier, they called for a worker from the cosmetics department. They said it was part of a Christmas makeup collection. She suggested that I pay $7.99 for it, but I talked her down to $5.00, because that was what the other Bijin products were being sold for. I went for a few months using the brushes everyday, but I really wanted to know what brand the brushes really were and how much they were worth. I then found this blog post, and I am shocked to know I got the brushes for $30.00 cheaper than I was supposed to!
ReplyDeleteI have the box that is green on the inside and I like the three of the eye shadows but I LOVE the champagney colour in the top left hand corner and the pigmentation and texture are exelent
