Help Haiti while helping your wardrobe and hair!

There is one positive thing that can be said for tragic events - you really do see the rest of the world rally to help!  That includes our corporate and retail establishments, like one of my favourite stores, Esprit.  This Saturday, January 23rd  for every purchase that is made at an Esprit store, they will donate $1 to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

The total amount raised will go to SOS Children's Villages Haiti via the "Esprit Cares Trust" in Hong Kong.  This will enable Esprit  to assist aid workers on the ground, as well as ensure the long-term well-being of children in Haiti.  Providing psychological help to children who may have been traumatized or orphaned is of particular importance, as is providing them with safe accommodations and searching for any remaining relatives.  You can learn more about Esprit's history of commitment to SOS Children's Villages here.

Toronto’s best hairstylists and colorists join forces in an effort to raise money for the Red Cross in support of the relief efforts happening in Haiti. Every dollar raised at the Cut-a-Thon will be directly donated to the Red Cross.

Hairdressers Helping Haiti Cut-a-Thon will be hosted at the Artist Choice Studio over the course of three days, with hairstylist and colourists from salons across the city donating their time in an effort to raise as much money as possible for the Haiti relief effort.  It will take place Sunday January 24 - 10am - 7pm, Monday January 25 and Tuesday January 26 - 10am - 9pm.  Participating is:
