Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller $34.99 is the newest entry into the eye roller market and you can tell that they have been paying attention to what came before them and making improvements. There is not one, not two but three micro-rollers so it gives some great massaging action. It is also a click pen which means that you have to click the end of it a few times to get things going and then one or two clicks every time you use it to dispense the product. This meant that I could spend lots and lots of glorious massaging time as no additional product would come out due to the rolling. There was no smell or at least none I noticed that offended me. It was moisturizing enough to diminish the fine lines around my eyes too so I was all around happy with my first stab at eye rollers!
Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller $19.99 is the original that started the craze. I remember trying to buy one when they first came out but the stores were always sold out of them and it seemed like they must be the best thing ever because there was so much hype. Unfortunately it appears it was more hype then substance as I don't really like anything about it other then the shape, the curved handle makes it easy to grip. The aspects I dislike the most: the smell - very reminiscent of vinegar and the fact that there is no way to control the product flow which means you can only massage for a short period of time or you end up with too much of the liquid being dispensed as the rolling is what controls the product flow. An all around disappointment and so not worth the wait.
Puffy eyed people should definitely give an eye roller a try - I found the Olay one very effective! And keep an eye out for my future eye roller posts, I still have a few more to try!

Interesting review and good to know that the Olay one is worth the extra cash. I like the idea that you can continue rolling without adding too much product. Thanks!

Does the Olay work well as a "depuffer"? I actually had a good experience with the Garnier one; no problems with smell whatsoever. I got mine in the States though and never bought another one in Toronto, so maybe they are different?
ReplyDeleteAnyways I am definitely entering the contest! :)
Hi Arianne, I wouldn't have thought the formula would be different for North America but who knows?! Maybe it was sitting on the shelf too long - all I know is the smell was yuck! Olay was great for depuffing - especially I think because you could roll as long as you wanted to because you have control of the liquid with the clicker. I still have a couple more rollers to review so stay tuned ;-)
