Make Up For Ever wants to be your compexion's travel companion this summer!

Make Up For Ever obviously heard that I am going on vacation next month and they have been kind enough to come out with this travel sized set - HD Complexion Travel Kit - $34 - It contains travel friendly sizes of the HD Elixir, HD Primer and HD Microfinish Powder.  I love it when companies make smaller sizes of my favourite products because there is nothing I hate more then trying to transfer my must haves into tiny little plastic containers!  If you are a long time reader then you are familiar with my love affair with MUFE that began last fall with the primer and powder - new readers and the absent minded can catch up here.  So these are two products that I will definitely be packing!

The HD Elixir is something that I haven't used before.  It was created to instantly boost skin's moisture and create a perfectly smooth palette for your makeup.  Clinical tests show that it boosts skin's moisture 520% after 15 minutes and continues to hold in moisture at 490% after 30 minutes and 430% after one hour.  The formula is non-oily, non-sticky and has a light gel texture that is instantly absorbed by the skin.  It can be applied to the entire face or to dehydrated problem areas.  It's key ingredients include D-Panthenol and glycerin for hydration, Dermican for firmness and tone, Argatensyl for an immediate tightening effect and Fucogel for moisture and protection from environmental factors.

I wish I had tried this in the winter when my skin was doing it's really horrible dry thing but my skin is still cooperating somewhat with a few dry patches here and there which I used as my testing ground and it really did instantly smooth out the dry texture, made my skin feel hydrated and allowed me to put makeup over those areas without it getting all cakey!  The texture was very light so I did try smoothing it all over my face but in my combo areas it made me feel oily so I will be using this strictly on my dry areas.

Available now at Sephora, sephora.com and select The Bay stores.
