GoNails Natural Nail Growth Treatment - .5 fl oz - $24.99 + S&H - it's the first dermatologist backed, clinically researched nail and cuticle treatment cream. It works to strengthen and grow nails as well as heal cuticles. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and it does a nice job of moisturizing my cuticles and keeping them from getting ragged. My only complaint would be the pump container, there is no way of doing half a pump, and a full pump is way more then I need so I end up using the rest as hand cream and I think this stuff is way to expensive to be using it as that! I can't speak to the nail growth aspect of it as I keep my nails short but they have some pretty impressive before and after pictures that you can find here. There is a 30 day money back guarantee so I guess you really can't go wrong. You can go to their website for more info or to purchase at http://www.mygobeauty.com/index.php
Sally Hansen Problem Cuticle Remover - 28g - $8.99 - contains aloe vera and comes with 2 orange sticks - this one is super thick so does an amazing moisturizing job - I find it works best when I let it sit for about 5 minutes - it lets all the moisture soak in and my cuticles are so soft by then they push in really easily!
Witchcraft Almond Oil - 10ml - $6.99 - if I'm going right to bed and won't be touching anything then this is a good one as I find it leaves an oily residue if I touch anything - well it's oil so that makes sense!
Do you have a favourite cuticle treatment that you think I need to try?

This is a topic close to my heart LOL! Summer or winter, I always have flaky cuticles :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to buy any more hand treatments - as I have a lot stocked up - and to some extent I think frequency of use is more important than the product itselt.
Saying that - I nearly gave in and purchased this body shop cuticle pen - I love that it is easy to carry around - but the most revolutionary part is the built in cuticle pusher on the cap. As soon as my current hand stash is used up - I'm SO buying this:

Nice one Ella, I'm going to have to have a look at TBS one next time I'm at the mall. My favourite one was made by Quo and was in the pen form but more like a really hard magic marker so you could moisturize and push your cuticles at the same time - of course it's been discontinued!

Nice post! I struggle with dry cuticles with my occupation (I have to wash my hands a lot). I like Hakken cuticle oil that I get at Sallys and Burts Bees cuticle cream.
ReplyDeleteCuticles..one of my obsessions. I use & love Avoplex cuticle oil by OPI, smells great too!
ReplyDeleteI cut them off too. Otherwise they're heathenous. Really. That's not a word, but go with it please. lol. Where do you find those nipper things in Canada? I got mine from back home but just in case (God forbid) I lose it...I know where to go? Have a great one! x http://xNTA.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI absolutely believe that's a real word and if it's not you should contact Websters! I have a few pairs but the ones I like the best are from Tweezerman and Revlon - if anyone else knows of a good brand I am always on the hunt for better ones!

Ahh I have this same problem too - no matter how much lotion I slather on, my cuticles are always dry and raggedy in the winter. I'm gonna see if the Sally Hansen one is available next time I'm at the drugstore :)
