Looking for something to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, help fight acne and remove acne
scarring, even skin tone, eliminate white and black heads, minimize
large pores and revitalize dull skin? Microdermabrasion just might be the answer and it also helps skin
regeneration by increasing its elasticity and collagen production.
Microdermabrasion is an effective, non-surgical way to get rid of acne scars, fine wrinkles and sunspots by exfoliating the top layers of the skin. No chemicals or laser beams are used, only aluminum oxide micro crystals that gently sand your skin, leaving it smooth and fresh. Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen production by using a vacuum, helping your skin rejuvenate faster than normal. It removes the top layer of dead skin which stands as a barrier to the penetration of your cell renewal lotions and serums. Once the barrier is removed and the vacuum can bring the blood flow and collagens to the surface of the skin the topical’s are significantly more effective in aiding cell rejuvenation and healing.
If you are rolling in money and have lots of free time then by all means go to the spa and let someone else do the work - for the rest of us there is - Personal Microderm which is an at-home microdermabrasion device which allows you to achieve the same skin rejuvenation and anti-aging results of a professional microdermabrasion treatment in the comfort and convenience of your own home. Personal Microderm uses the same aluminum oxide crystals found in the equipment at your doctor’s office.
The Personal Microderm works in two ways to produce age defying results. The aluminum oxide crystals embedded into the exfoliating discs work to resurface the stratum corneum. This combined with the powerful vacuum suction of the hand held device stimulates blood flow and brings collagens to the surface; allowing skin care products to penetrate deeper into the skin ultimately revealing younger, healthier skin.

Personal
Microderm greatly enhances poor, dull skin texture by gently resurfacing the
superficial skin layers. Softens and modifies fine “expression” lines typically
seen on the forehead and around the mouth. Polishes and reduces fine, crêpe
lines on the cheeks generally caused by aging and sun damage. Smoothes pigment
changes or skin discoloration. Contracts enlarged pores; exfoliates and suctions
out clogged pores in case of acne, and polishes and smoothes out the margins of
acne and burn scars.
Now I love a beauty gadget so I was excited to try this one. I have only every had microdermabrasion at a spa once before so I had an idea of what to expect but have never had the series of sessions that they always recommend to get the full effects. Having had a chance to try it six times now and having had some great results, I thought it was only fair to share the info with you now rather then waiting the 8-12 sessions recommended for full results. I have been using the sensitive discs on my face for about 10-15 minutes every 2 weeks since November. The process itself doesn't hurt, it just feels a little scratchy. I find my skin peels a bit in the days following but only very mildly, which is normal. Once the peeling stops, my skin looks brighter, clearer and feels so much smoother! I haven't had any breakouts associated with the treatments or any other adverse affects other then the aforementioned peeling. I will definitely caution you to start with the sensitive discs and work your way up to normal and don't over treat any one area because then you are just asking for irritation! Once you finish the series of treatments (8-12) you are then supposed to use it once a month to maintain results which I will be doing - I am really happy with the texture of my skin now!

Keep reading about these. I would love to have one for me and one for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteNeither of us can afford the spa treatments
Depending on how fancy the spa is, just one session will cost the same as this device. If you live close to your daughter you can always share too - just buy extra discs!

Sounds really interesting. Just curious if you use the Clarisonic or anything simliar b/c I'm wondering if the two together would be too much or no?
ReplyDeleteI do use my Clarisonic daily - with a sensitive head - you only use the micro every 2 weeks and I do avoid using the Clarisonic for a couple of days afterwards thinking that it might be too much then.

Is there anywhere in Canada that this is sold?
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it is sold in stores in any country - just online!
