Hello girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! Anyway I have this to say to the sponsor: STOP being cheap and pay the fees to include Quebec people! Us girls here make your business run, we buy lots of beauty products/ cosmetics, it is worth it for you to pay the fee to include us in your contests! Merely a few dollars, depending on the value of the prizes and the area covered by the contest...
In that case, the fee would have been 15$!!!!!!!
Maths: for a contest in Canada only and covering Quebec residents, the fee is 3% of the total value of the prizes (500$x 3%=15$)
here is the link of the fees: http://www.racj.gouv.qc.ca/fileadmin/templavoila/documents/publications/francais/RACJ-1047J__10-04_.pdf
I think it is important to let people know, because lots of girls from Quebec dont' know why we are always left out...
When most of the time, it is merely a question of companies not willing to pay a fee (which everyone can agree is really small...)
Anyway, keep up your good work Lisa Marie!
Aha, so that's it. I thought it was because Quebec must have some insanely strict rules against contests and sweepstakes, maybe due to anti-gambling fanaticism.
ReplyDeleteAnd actually, it's a money grab by the provincial government. They want their cut! Nice!
