You
 know how much I love
Fashion Week makeup, some of the time it's totally unwearable for anyone
 not on
the runway, but in this case, it's smoky, it's seductive and totally
doable for
us non-model folk - I love it!
Lancôme Artistic Director for
Make-up, Aaron De Mey was once again at the L’Wren Scott show where he
created
a glam rock make-up look to complement the clothes.
After
 prepping the skin,
Aaron applied a layer of Teint Idole foundation with his fingers, then
added a
layer of Shu Uemura loose powder for a matte finish.  He
used Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mocha Havana
on the apples of the cheeks and long the cheekbone, all the way to the
hairline.
Now
 my favourite part, the
eyes which were super dramatic.  Aaron
used Ombre Magnétique in Black from the upcoming Fall 2010 collection
all over
the lid and all the way up to the brow bone.
He then used the silver Ombre Magnétique shade around the tear
duct to
catch the light and add impact.  Le
Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony was used along the waterline.  Multiple
coats of the new Hypnôse Drama
mascara on upper and lower lashes completed the look.
The
 lip colour was kept
neutral so as not to distract from the hypnotic eyes so L’Absolu Rouge
in Rich
Cashmere was used over which he put La Lacque Fever in Sensation, a
glossy nude
shade coming this fall.
Super
 fun was the model’s
blue-grey manicures with a special colour that Lancôme customized just
for L’Wren
– and if they know what is good for them, will be whipping up a bigger
batch
for you and me.

I love that smoked out eye! Check out the hugemongo braid on that girl! Wowser!
ReplyDeleteI looove the silver on the inner corner, I'm totally going to steal it when I next do a black smokey eye :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! And using light colours at the corner is supposed to make your eyes look wider and make you look more awake!
