Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight Peel - 50ml - $19.99 - a lightweight, silky treatment that contains a glycolic acid - (to accelerate cellular turnover and improve skin texture) and vitamin C - (targets dark spot intensity, reduces hyperpigmentation and brightens) complex that gently exfoliates overnight to smooth away dullness and discolourations, accelerating the rise of brighter skin cells to the surface.
It's simple to use, just apply a thin layer of the peel at night before you go to bed - avoiding the eye area - and it absorbs without leaving a film or residue on the skin. In the morning just wash your face as usual and don't forget your sunscreen - otherwise you're doing all of this for nothing!
Expect to see brighter skin after the first night thanks to the exfoliating action, a reduction in dark spots after 1 week and reduction in uneven skin tone after 2 weeks. What I really love is how smooth my skin feels in the morning - it's like I really did get some beauty sleep!
And if you really want to kick your dark spot's ass, use Garnier's Dark Spot Corrector during the day and you'll see fading results twice as fast.
Available in drugstores and mass retailers across Canada this month.

can you use it also for dark circles under the eye?
ReplyDeleteNope - an eye product meant for dark circles like Garnier's eye roller is what you want for that kind of darkness!

Wow this stuff sounds great! And the price is so affordable! I am definitely gonna check this out:) Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing ! this is so helpful!! I'm putting this on my shopping list;D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I just bought this today, for some darks spots on my face. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteDo you put on your nightly moisturizer before or after?
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to wear a moisturizer as well, put it on after - you want the peel as close to the skin as possible so it can do it's thing!

I still have some existing acne on my face... although it is going away (very very slowly though.. -___-). Can I still use this with an acne treatment (like salicylic acid) under it? My spots are kind of red though... not like brown. Those are acne scars I guess right?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would mix the two products - the red spots do sound like acne marks and I would use the two products separately, you don't them to react with each other and do something worse to your skin!

I have the same problem.so would it be ok to use one product one and the other the next day and just switch off?
DeleteYup, that's what I would do!

I'm so jealous, this product sounds like the perfect product, too bad I don't think they sell it. Sounds like a good buy !!!
ReplyDeleteO read somewhere that the dark spot corrector cream can cause breakouts.is this something I have to worry about happening when using this product?
ReplyDeleteI supposed technically any product can cause breakouts if it doesn't react well with you skin and that's pretty hard to know without trying it. You can always just try it on one part of your face to start and see how your skin reacts - at least that way you aren't breaking out all over!

Thanks! I tried it and I did not break out and my acne marks are already going away!I would definatley recommend it
DeleteI just purchased this yesterday hopefully I see some results after 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI just bought this product after spending too many years in the sun. In just 3 nights my dark freckle like spots are nearly gone. Thank you soooo much garnier
ReplyDeleteI use simple toner on my face st night. Can I use the toner then the peel?
ReplyDeleteAs long as the toner doesn't have AHA or anything like that in it then that's fine!

Can we get these products in London and where?
ReplyDeleteSo you just keep this on or do you wash it off?
ReplyDeleteIt stays on - like a moisturizer!

Does this work on acne scars?
ReplyDeleteis this supposed to actually peel off me face in the morning? I'll wake up the next day and its almost gone? How much(in pumps) is enough for entire face?
ReplyDelete1 or 2 pumps is good for the whole face (unless you have a giant James Van der Beek head) and it absorbs into your skin just like any night cream will - there is nothing to peel off in the morning!
DeleteBest, Lisamarie
Thank you!
DeleteDo I use this everyday? I usually put on serum and moisture at night, should I skip those steps or just use it after I put on the peel?
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
I would just use the peel on its own unless you are very dry. I use it everyday but if you have another night cream you love alternate one day peel, one day cream - hth!

what about in dark skin???
ReplyDeleteWhat about using retina a with this
ReplyDeleteNot a good idea to mix active ingredients so I would say don't!

How do I use the overnight peel and the dark spot corrector as a combination?
ReplyDeleteIs there a certain cleanser to use before you apply the peel? Soap and water or just water? I have oily skin and it does not feel clean to me if i use just water.
