Burt's Bees has partnered with Canadian accessories designer Jenny Bird and created a special and limited edition bracelet - 100% of the proceeds of which will benefit the Pollinator Partnership - a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to protect and restore the populations of pollinator species, especially bees.
As you may or may not have heard, there is disturbing evidence that pollinating animals have suffered from loss of habitat, chemical misuse, introduced and invasive plant and animal species and diseases and parasites. And since worldwide, roughly 1,000 plants grown for food, beverages, fibers, spices and medicines need to be pollinated by animals in order to produce the goods on which we depend, that's quite a problem!
