Mai Beauty is the brainchild of 26 year old Canadian, Maija Reisenauer, a young perfumer with a passion for design and quality cosmetics. She was having a hard time finding cosmetics that weren't either too granola or too corporate. She wanted the corporate look and quality with the organic attention to ingredients. Since there didn't seem to be any middle ground she decided to create it herself and Mai Beauty was born. Her items are free of harmful chemicals, preservatives and certified by PETA to be fully cruelty-free while still having a youthful and glamourous look.
This is my favourite part of her line. The formula is mineral based and super creamy. The colour is rich and it didn't change on me during the day at all. If you are looking to rock the orange trend, order yourself "olive", you won't be disappointed! I also found them to be very moisturizing so all around, a good lipstick experience!

If sheer is more your thing, the same range of colours come in a lip gloss formula. I haven't actually tried it so I can't speak to how intense or subtle the shades actually are.

And of course there is a fragrance line! It comes in two signature fragrances: Sweet and Spice. Meant to be worn alone or layered together. I am partial to the Sweet, while Christelle liked Spice, go figure!
