Denis Gagnon offers a unique vision of the story by presenting
Alice as radiant and confident, such as the
Lancôme woman, while being surrounded by the softness and the beauty of her
garden of roses, the brand’s iconic emblem. Gagnon will unveil a dress composed of fine
metal chains surrounded by a digitally projected rose garden.
GARDEN OF ROSES : DENIS GAGNON
INTERPRETS ALICE
The exhibition Garden of Roses:
Denis Gagnon interprets Alice will be
presented at Luminato in the Wintergarden Lobby in Toronto from June
10th-19th, 2011.
225 King Street
West, Toronto
Admission is free.
Of course what I wanted to know about was the makeup! Lora Spiga,
Official Makeup Artist for Lancôme, created a makeup
look to complement the exclusive dress created by Gagnon for the festival. The
beauty look is both feminine and whimsical, fit for fairytale characters. The
complexion is radiant and slightly tanned. The eyes are natural, highlighted by
long lashes. The cheekbones are accentuated, making them irresistible and rosy,
while the mouth is coloured with a touch of pink gloss.
Desert Rose Blush and
Juicy Tubes Awakening of Love Lip
Gloss are the centerpieces of this makeup look. These two products have been
carefully selected by the artists from the Lancôme Summer 2011 Bronze Azure
collection.
