Urban Decay Primer Potion - 11ml - $23 - is my longtime fave eye primer but I must admit I kept straying because the packaging was just so annoying. When I thought it was empty, I would get my husband to use his Dremmel to crack it open and would find tons of product inside and even though I would transfer the remainder to a jar and use it that way, it would dry up much quicker than it should have because it was getting exposed to too much air. Thankfully UD heard my whining and have now started producing it in a squeezable tube!
BTW, did you know that The Shopping Channel is carrying Urban Decay now - awesome right?! Check it out at www.theshoppingchannel.com. And you can still find it at Sephora and the Whitby Shoppers Drug Mart.
These changes of course bring on a new problem - what am I going to whine about now?!

lol, those were definite improvements! glad they got smarter with the packaging, wish others would catch on too with some things
ReplyDeleteI love squeeze tubes way better than pumps for alot of things. And having the bottle clear than I can see if theres anything in it ... that way I can get it all out! muahaha
ReplyDeleteso lovely! i might consider going back to UDPP because the packaging was definitely one of the things i really disliked!

I'm sooo happy they changed their packaging!! :) I knew about the UD PP changing but had no idea Smashbox's Primer changed as well! Great post!
ReplyDeletegreat they change their packaging...good..
ReplyDeleteyes! i love it when they actually listen to constructive criticism lol
ReplyDeleteI like the packaging for some of the products (for visual purposes) but I guess when you get down to the technicality of things.. the new designs of the packaging are MUCH better ^___^ Oh, they changed the Smashbox photo finish primer packaging too? I have the full size in a glass jar pump thingy.. but i think my one pushes up the primer when it's being pumped out? (does that make sense...) But the travel size of my clear Smashbox photo finish primer is in a squeeze tube? >.<
ReplyDeleteIn case I don't see any reply from here, please respond on my blog: http://nynb.blogspot.com or e-mail: kerr.beee(at)gmail(dot)com
I didn't realize that Smashbox changed the primers either, my Shoppers Drug Mart still has some of the plastic pump primers left but when I went to Sephora all of their product and even testers are now the tubes. Jen - the one that pushes up the primer from the bottom is the second incarnation of the pump bottle - here they are plastic not glass - but they still leave wasted product inside when it won't pump anymore!
ReplyDeleteBest, Lisamarie
omg i never heard nor searched for problems of the smashbox primer bottles. however, i am having problems with mine and i thought i'm the only one.. probably a month ago, the bottle just stopped dispensing any product so i have to open it everytime i need to use it. :-/
