An easy way to smoke up your daytime eye look with CoverGirl, Avon, Lise Watier and Rimmel!

The smoky eye look is still a favourite of mine, but I keep trying new ways of doing it to make it more fun and more wearable for a daytime look.  I have been moving away from black/grey powder shadow and using a thick pencil with colour to make it less night time with lots of success - here are my favourite pencils for the daytime smoky eye:

CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast - $10.99 - this is the easiest option because they give you 2 colours in the same stick, one rounded, one tapered so it's totally goof proof!  There are 6 duos to choose from:  Tempest Blue - blue/light blue, Purple Plume - plum/pink, Citrus Flair - copper/green, Onyx Smoke - black/white, Silver Sky - aubergine/grey and Bronze Fire - bronze/taupe

Avon True Color Shadow Sticks - $5.99 - cream to powder matte finish with a hint of glint - available in 4 jewel tone colours: Aquamarine, Purple Lapis, Sparkling Sapphire and Pink Ruby.  These are nice because the colour is buildable so just by layering, it can look like shades of the same colour which is nice for a colourful smoky look.  Available from your Avon rep 1-800-265-AVON or online at www.avon.ca

Lise Watier Duo Yeux Ombre et Lumiére Eyeshadow & Liner - $20 - this is a new edition to the regular line which came out with the spring collection.  It's available in three colour combos:  Retro Rose - pink shadow and mahogany liner, Glamour Peach - peach shadow and charcoal liner, Timeless Gold - white gold shadow and black-brown liner.  I like to use the liner side to draw a thick line and then use the shadow side to smudge the line out and make it less severe.  The Retro Rose is especially nice for this look!

Rimmel Eyeful Eye Glistener - $9.49 - these are really fun for a really standout shiny look - probably not appropriate for the office (depending on where you work) but definitely great for play!  They come in 5 colours:  700 Flaunt - gold, 100 Girls Only - pink, 500 Stand Out - green, 200 Straight Laced - purple and 400 Talk To Me - blue.
