Make Up For Ever has launched a new collection of 50 lipsticks - Rouge Artist Intense - $22 - their claim to fame is that they are highly pigmented, in fact, they contain 50% more pigment then the average formula! In three finishes: matte, pearly and satin - the colours range from 11 different shades of reds to pinks to nudes to more artistic colours like black, orange, gold and purple
Of course with that much choice in colour it becomes difficult to find the colour best suited to you so
they have also come up with something to help women find the shade that is
perfect for them by also creating a special lipstick shade finder tool
that helps you find your perfect colour. Match up your hair and skintone colours and the wheel finds you the perfect reds, pinks and nudes just for you! So I asked the wheel what it thought I should try and of course I never argue with scientific devices so I did what it said -
#46 - satin bordeaux red and #11 - pearly rosewood - I was a little worried about the texture as I have read that some people are finding them quite dry (especially the pearl) but I didn't have that experience at all, they went on easy and lasted all day! To be fair, they might not be the creamiest "wettest" lipstick I've ever tried, but they were by no means dry and I'm sure being less creamy is what gives them such good staying power!
I didn't use lipliner, lip balm or anything on top. Interesting how the frost makes my lips look so much fuller!
