Ricky & Nicki for MAC Viva Glam

I was concerned at first that Ricky Martin would actually have a Viva Glam lipstick colour so was very happy to find out that his contribution is a (clear) lip conditioner! Not that men shouldn't wear lipstick - hey, I lived through the 80s Duran Duran period - I just don't think it's right for Ricky!

Viva Glam Nicki - bright yellow pink - $17.50
Lip Conditioner - clear - $18

And of course, every cent of the selling price will go to supporting the MAC Aids Fund to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among young people around the globe.

Available February 15th at all MAC locations and www.maccosmetics.com

  2. Although I just confirmed with MAC Cosmetics that they have NOT released this lipstick yet, it is presently selling on ebay for upwards of $100 and higher. I think MAC AND EBAY should file charges against these people because they are claiming to have these items, people are sending them money for products they don't have (these sellers don't even know they will be able to get a certain number of these lipsticks. It depends upon demand as to how fast they sell out at MAC) and that's a FEDERAL FELONY since the internet, which is interstate commerce, is being used to commit this crime. Why isn't anyone, especially EBAY, doing anything about this? I really think that subscribers should get as many people as possible, including themselves, to call EBAY and MAC to complain about this situation and urge Ebay to do something serious about this matter! Doesn't it get you mad that there will be unscrupulous people who purchase 20 of these lipsticks from MAC to sell on EBAY making thousands of dollars and as a result, MAC will probably sell out BEFORE you have the opportunity to make your purchase? Also remember that when these items are purchased on EBAY, NO money is sent to charities as compared to when you purchase them from MAC directly, who does financially support these companies by donating proceeds from their sales.

I already lodged my complaint with MAC and will do so with EBAY tomorrow. I would urge all readers to call EBAY, 1-866-540-3229 or 1-866-643-6848, AND CORPORATE MAC, 1-800-387-6707, on Monday and tell them how you feel about this matter, if it bothers you that is.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.

    Have a great weekend.
