Lippmann Collection - Brick House and Some Enchanted Evening swatches!

I like Lippmann colours a lot and enjoy my trips to Murale just to have a chance to drool over the line!
Brick House is a shimmering rust shade from the fall collection.
I received Some Enchanted Evening which is a pink sparkle polish in my November Topbox - I wasn't sure that the pink would go with the rust but because the pink has a bit of a salmon tint to it, I think it turned out nice! It has the small and large sparkles and the large ones didn't like to spread out so it took a little coaxing to not have them all end up in a clump. Looking at it here, I would probably add one more coat but overall, I like the combo!

OPI - Lucerne-tainly Look Marvellous and Glitzerland - Lippmann Collection - Today Was A Fairytale and Boom Boom Pow swatches -

Still trying out the colours from the OPI fall Swiss collection, this time it's: Lucerne-tainly Look Marvellous and Glitzerland - Love them! What is really nice about them is that 1 coat gives you a polished metallic look that is perfect if you are running out the door and need to do something fast, while 2 coats gives you a rich metallic colour - I can see these getting a lot of use by me for the holidays!
Now I'm not normally a glittery nail polish kind of girl - mostly because I hate the way chunky glitter feels - I like a smooth nail so I was pleased to discover that the two new holiday colours from the Lippmann Collection: Today Was a Fairytale and Boom Boom Pow (with real 24K gold dust inside) add beautiful shimmer without lumps! Fairytale looks blue in the bottle but the glitter is silver and I loved the effect with the OPI silver!  You can find Lippmann polished at Donato Salons in Toronto as well as Murale.

The Lippmann Collection goes to the Emmys with Lea Michele!

Celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann was on hand at the Emmys to polish off some of the star's looks including one of my faves - Lea Michele from Glee.  I may not have loved the dress she chose but I did like the deep blue colour and the polish that Deborah chose for her nails went beautifully!

Her colour came from the All That Jazz trio, a limited edition set which includes:
Razzle Dazzle - darkened raspberry sizzle (glitter)
Some Enchanted Evening - pink salmon shimmer (glitter)
Lady Sings The Blues - silver sparkled blue (glitter) - the colour that was used for Lea's manicure!

Get one for yourself online at www.lippmanncollection.com or instore at Murale, Holt Renfrew or Donato Spas.

Lippmann Collection - Supermodel and Between the Sheets swatches

These are a couple of polishes that have been faves of mine from the Lippman Collection for my toes this summer but as my husband so lovingly put it, "no one wants to see your webbed feet" - so I'll let you check them out on my fingers instead!

Supermodel - created with supermodel Dree Hemingway - is a really striking red orange which they are calling a sheer but with 2 coats, I don't really it find it that sheer at all!

Between the Sheets - a super pretty fuchsia purple creme.

And if you are looking for an amazing quick dry top coat - check out their Addicted to Speed - it dries so quick and yet is still really shiny - I usually find that quick drying top coats don't have as much shine but this one is the exception!

And here's something I never knew, not only does Deborah Lippman have a line of nail products, she also sings!  Her previous recording "Nightingale" was jazz standards and original recordings and in her newest "Vinyl", she gives her own spin to some favourite rock classics.

I love her voice, it's very soulful and you can tell she loves to sing, so good for her!  If you are curious, you can find some videos on Youtube - just search Deborah Lippman (there is a heart wrenching version of Since I Fell For You) or you can purchase her cd's - as well as her polishes on her website - www.lippmanncollection.com

Lippmann Collection polishes the runway at Badgley Mischka and Lela Rose!

Sometimes it's the smallest details that are the coolest - as proved by the model's nails at the Badgley Mischka show during fashion week.  Deborah Lippmann used Marquee Moon - a futuristic sequined silver glitter polish from the Lippmann collection to add a cool vibe to the runway.

Over at the Lela Rose show, Deborah debuted a colour launching this fall called Across the Universe - described as a navy base with different shades of blue and green sequins that resembles both the sky and the water to compliment the girly frocks at that show.  I can't wait to see this one in person!  The Lippmann collection can be found at Holt Renfrew, Murale and various other stores in Canada.  US and Canada can go here to find your closest location.

Pre-party at Murale New Year's Eve!

For all you lucky ladies with exciting New Year's plans, beauty mecca Murale wants to help you get ready for your evening festivities.  On December 31st from 10am to 6pm, Murale will be offering skin consultations, full makeup applications (with a $100 store purchase), professional lash applications (with the purchase of a set of Quo or DUO lashes) and/or a complimentary nail polish change or touch up (with the purchase of any Lippmann Collection nail polish).  Take the work and worry out of your New Year's eve  primping!  To book an appointment for any or all of these services, contact your local store which you can find the info for here.  I don't know how badly I require their services to help me spend the evening sitting on the couch watching Ryan Seacrest, but maybe I'll check it out and see if Lippmann makes a polish that goes with wine coolers and Cheetos...
