Fragrant Friday - Jimmy Choo Man

Jimmy Choo Man - 50ml EDT - $68, 100ml EDT - $88 - a fresh scent with top notes that open with crisp vivacity of mandarin essence, citrus and honeydew melon  complemented with calming lavender; crisp heart notes of geranium and pineapple leaf; and moody and seductive base notes of patchouli and warm amber-based wood.

I quite like the scent, it smells fresh and manly, but honestly, even if I hated the scent it has Jon Snow in the adverts so there is still something about it to love!

Available now at Hudson's Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, Murale and Nordstrom.

Fragrant Friday - Jimmy Choo Flash

Jimmy Choo Flash - 60ml - $73, 100ml - $99, Perfumed Body Lotion - 200ml - $46, Perfumed Shower Gel - 200ml - $28 - a white floral with top notes of pink pepper and strawberry; heart notes of tuberose, jasmine and white lily; and base notes of heliotrope and white woods.

It's a feminine scent that's a little bit sexy and very sophisticated. My favourite thing about it is the bottle, inspired by a modernist chandelier from the 70's, it was designed to play with light and gives a shimmering effect while seeming to be encrusted with small glass studs.

Available at Hudson's Bay, Holt Renfrew, Sephora, Ogilvy, Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale.

Finally - a Jimmy Choo that I can afford... the fragrance that is!

Jimmy Choo - this sensual fruity chypre fragrance is the debut scent from our favourite shoe brand!  With a green top note; a heart note of Tiger Orchid; and base notes of toffee and sensual Indonesian patchouli it is meant to be empowering and elegant and evoke glamour, confidence, desire and refined sexuality.

I had a chance to smell it and I believe I have found my new evening scent - it really is a very sensual scent on me, not quite light enough for what I prefer during the day, but for night, watch out, here I come!

60ml EDP - $73, 100ml EDP - $100, 150ml Body Lotion - $46, 150ml Shower Gel - $38

Available at Holt Renfrew, The Bay and Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques.

Canadian Girls' Triple D's

Exhibit 1: From an H&M store in Toronto

Exhibit 2: From the same H&M store

Canadian girls are in denial, denial, denial. That's the triple D I was talking about, you pervs. Those H&M shoes are super cute, but really this is November and this is CANADA. I know this may come as a shock to you but it's not warm outside. Not even a little bit. I understand if you buy sexy heels to go out, but why do they have to be open toes? While looking for shoes yesterday, I realized that just like last year, the shoe collections include way too many open toes and summery designs to be worn in this season. Weird. Maybe it's a subtle message to tell people to go away.

Then, I found this monstrosity at RW & Co. You'd only wear those shoes if you were REALLY REALLY cold or 89 years old, or both! And I don't care if you wear them inside the house, they are so vile, if any man is around you, he will run away and rightfully so!

Oh and by the way, I will be camping in front of the H&M store until the Jimmy Choo collection is available. I have already warned you: nobody comes between Jimmy and me.

These ain't your granny's panties!

With all of the Jimmy Choo anticipation and hullabaloo happening over at H&M, their next guest designer, Sonia Rykiel,  might not even have made it onto your radar yet.  She certainly wasn't on mine and then, BAM, I opened up the latest issue of LouLou and saw this ad.  I wish I could find a bigger picture so you could get the full effect but as you can see, we have sheer black underwear with strategically placed rosettes.  I can only assume that this underwear is not meant to be worn under clothes (those rosettes would make it look like you had huge boils or something) or keep you warm...  Maybe it's just me but I'm just not finding this look that hot, thoughts...?

Hot Trend for Cold Winter: My Booties Call

It's that season again. You know, the time when the temperatures start to drop faster than you can say "Holy crap, it's cold!" and all you can think of is "how far is my summer vacation, again?", the season we shall not name, which is about 6 months of the year in Canada.

When I used to live in Paris, I did not have to choose between comfort and style while shoe shopping. Style always won. Never mind if my feet were numb because of the cold, I had to look good no matter what. I wore pumps and stylish coats even in the heart of the winter.  Obviously, moving to Canada completely changed this mindset. If my feet are numb here, it probably means my toes are about to fall out, because it's that much colder. So comfort is important, but you can still try to look purrrdy, right?
Thankfully, this season you can be warm and sexy as the over-the-knees-boots are the hottest trend for shoes.

H&M over-the-knee Jimmy Choo design, for the budget conscious fashionista.

A light, neutral taupe color for these flat boots, by Nine West (now on sale for $104).

If synthetic is a look you go for, the black platforms "Lunia" boots will do for $139, Nine West

The ones I really want but can't get in Canada...by TopShop. Now you can drool..or go to N.Y.C

Zara does it well.

And Rodarte does it better for $3687 which is exactly 3351 pots of Mr Noodles. Screw the noodles, I'll starve and stare at my shoes instead.

Are You Ready for Jimmy?

Alright, alright, it's not exactly breaking news. The collaboration between Jimmy Choo and H&M was announced a while ago, but I just stumbled across the pictures of these beauties and wanted to share my excitement! The new collection will be available on November 14th and to my relief, all the Choo shoes will be made with leather. The featured outfits and purses are also part of the exclusive collection.

I will beat you up with my stilettos, I will scratch your cute little face if I have to, but I will get one pair! These shoes are mine, mine, mine. You have been warned.
