Mascara Monday - Lancôme Grandiose Mascara

Lancôme Grandiose Mascara - $35 - offers wide-angle, fan effect that adds exceptional length, curve and volume to all lashes for bigger, brighter eyes.

Mascaras are usually more of the same right? But what makes this one new and interesting is the swan-neck wand, which is meant to work with the shape of your face for the easiest application, while the curve of the wand also mixes the mascara with each twist open, allowing the formula to stay fresh longer. The specially designed, elastomer-molded brush perfectly deposits formula on each lash, while smaller bristles effortlessly coat even short lashes from root to tip for ultimate volume.

The ultra-black, smudge-free formula features rose cell extract, which nourishes and smooths lashes while providing infinite buildability. This high-gloss, clump-free mascara leaves lashes fanned out with maximum length, and it is designed with long-wearing, flexible polymers, which allows for easy removal.

The look of this mascara is super cool - from the black rose suspended in the clear cap to the groovy looking brush. I think the shape is meant to make it easier to reach across your nose and other facial protrusions so you can apply mascara to both eyes without having to twist and turn the brush but years of mascara application with a regular brush have made me so proficient that I was unsure of how to hold this one - luckily it even comes with instructions that has little pictures that show you exactly how to hold the brush for maximum effectiveness! I don't know that the brush is a life-changer for me but I do like the formula a lot, it looks rich and black, didn't clump, flake or smudge and came off easily with soap and water!

Mascara Monday - Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara

Lancôme Hypnôse Star Show Stopping Volume Mascara - $33 - provides ultra-volume at the lash line for a sensuous curve from root to tip.

The formula's "black-diamond effect" imparts a glossy gel-like finish.

 The dual-action brush has a flat side for optimizing product deposit at the lash line while the rounded side separates, defines, and lengthens.

And while I think it looks great when my eyes are open, the formula is a little clumpy for my taste when closed!
