Mascara Monday - Rimmel'Scandal Eyes Curve Alert

Rimmel has a couple of new editions to their Scandal'Eyes Mascara franchise including:
Scandal'Eyes Curve Alert - $7.99 - with a collagen and keratin enriched formula combined with Rimmel's Most curvaceous brush ever to take lashes to stunning new extremes of volume and curve.

They aren't kidding, the brush is freaking huge - big brush lovers will be in heaven let me tell you!

The spastic amongst us (yes, I'm talking about me) will only be able to use this mascara when we have plenty of time to be very careful and not get it all over our skin - you can see several spots here were I failed in this goal - this is not the kind of mascara that you (or at least) I can whip on really fast while running out the door in the morning.

Open, my lashes look fab albeit, very volumized, closed they look kind of clumpy to me.

Aveeno Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 - 88ml - $15.99 - a gentle formula with 100% natural-sourced sunscreen ingredients to provide protection against UVA/UVB rays and moisturizing oat extract - waterproof, fragrance and oil free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

If you have super-sensitive skin you might want to avoid anything with fragrance as it can be irritating and this one pretty much does smell like nothing - I also find it quite moisturizing which is nice to counteract how dry your skin can get when you are out in the sun!

Biotherm SPF 30 High Protection Lait Solaire - 200ml - $35 - this paraben sunscreen continues to be one of my summer faves - it's got the UVA/UVB protection and lovely light texture that's so important but what I love most of all is the scent - citrus - and you know how I loves me some citrus!

Fragrant Friday - Secret Scent Expressions Va Va Vanilla

When the weather gets especially humid I have to stop wearing perfume because my body chemistry does something weird and everything just turns nasty on me! Of course humid weather is not the time I want to be fragrance free, the subway is a stinky enough experience in the summer without me adding to it so I go for traditional scent alternatives like a fragranced deodorant! Knowing my love for all things sweet, it won't surprise you to know that my pick right now is:

I went hunting for a bright lipstick lately and was overwhelmed with choices - I decided that if Rimmel is good enough for the the upcoming crop of scheming, desperate singletons on the upcoming season of The Bachelor Canada then it's good enough for me - I can be as desperate as the next girl!

I often have a problem with lipsticks looking cakey on me and accentuating any dry areas on my lips but these ones are very moist, smooth and comfortable feeling - they also didn't migrate out of my lip line during the course of the day - score!
