Leggings to love from Garage, Ann Taylor and Dynamite!

Leggings sure have come far since the days when they were only meant to be worked out in! With so many materials, patterns and colours available, leggings have come out of the gym and on to the streets in a major way! Here are a few sure to jazz up your legging wardrobe:

Garage Camo High Rise Super Soft Legging - $24.95 - sizes XS - XL - with an allover black & grey camo print, comfy elastic waistband and 26 3/4" inseam - these leggings would be adorable with a long, black cowl neck sweater and ballet flats!
Ann Taylor Houndstooth Leggings - $114.82 - in regular and petite sizes 00 - 18 - with a slim fit and exposed metallic side zip to add a modern edge - the polished houndstooth pattern make them totally office appropriate when paired with crisp oxford shirt, black blazer and a low heel!

Dynamite Lace Up Faux Leather Legging - $39.95 - sizes XS - XL - in faux black leather featuring a trendy high rise fit and lace up detailing - because leather leggings are so sexy, I like to pair them with something more feminine on top like a white lace blouse and soft pink cardigan - making them totally daytime appropriate!

And I know y'all don't necessarily agree with me put I'm putting it out there again - leggings are not pants - unless you are at the gym you need to layer them with something that's going to cover most of your butt - tunics look great with them and I really love them with a long, chunky cardigan or even a miniskirt!

It's all about the legs and eyes with Mondor and Maybelline at Toronto Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016!

Mondor was at Toronto Fashion Week on Wednesday showing off their fall/winter line of fashion legwear.

With styles that ranged from sexy sheers...
 to funky patterns.

And lots and lots of stylish leggings that also make great eatin' pants - not that any of these girls eat!

I was quite taken with the toe-less knee highs - finally a classy way to wear socks and sandals!
Maybelline's Lead Makeup Artist, Grace Lee was backstage creating the show's beauty look which consisted of seemingly bare and glowing skin, nude lips and dramatic eyes. The liner was thanks to Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Curvy - with a chunky, easy to grip applicator and a fat, sturdy tip that makes it easy to create a thick or thin line in one stroke - coming your way in July!

Until next Fashion Week - stay beautiful!

Want to go down a size in a minute? It's as easy as putting on a pair of pants from Nygard!

Going down a size is now as easy as putting on a pair of pants from the new SLIMS line from Nygard!

The collection consists of various silhouettes including leggings, jeggings, straight cut and boot cut pants with all the styles offering a high waist to flatten the stomach; hip and thigh compression to tighten thighs and smooth out hips; and Slimcurve technology to sculpt the butt and shape curves eliminating saddlebags.

I can't disagree with any of it, the pants really do suck everything in for you, which saves so much work having to suck my own stomach in! And I really love the leg compression which smooths out my thighs and makes it look like I've been spending all of my free time at the gym (not so much)!

The only thing I'm going to have to disagree with is Nygard's (misguided) approval to wear the leggings or jeggings as pants - leggings are not pants and jeggings are just leggings with a couple of rivets and pockets on them which also qualifies them as not-pants. Bottom line - even if they are making you slimmer and your ass look great the rules of leggings still apply - unless of course you want to look like you left the house forgetting to put on a skirt or aspire to look like (as stupid as) we did in the 80's with our spandex pants...
If you want everyone to see your newly shaped butt then the pant style with the straight or boot cut leg are the way to go - they are also the perfect thing to wear when you go to a buffet - go ahead and eat your weight in crab legs and chocolate cake - the pants will keep your secret!

All styles are available now at The Shopping Channel - www.theshoppingchannel.com - priced at $49-$59 a pair - for more info check out the Slimming Spring Fashions video with Lynn Spence that aired on Breakfast Television...

Buy Lindsay Lohan's leggings...if you like 80's hookers' style!

You may know by now how I feel about celebrity fashion lines: mostly mediocre and designed by an army of designers while the clueless celebrity takes credit for it. However, I can believe this collection was really designed by Lindsay Lohan. It looks cheap and tacky and  I have to admit she does have some credibility in that department. Those leggings remind me of the 80's, in a bad way. All she's missing now is the bad 80's perm...

I hope she added Velcro to these leggings. What? Don't look at me like that! It makes it easier to take off when you strip. Everybody knows that.

Perfect when you're standing on the street corner, waiting for that elusive customer.

Not as bad as the other leggings.

Hmm, no. What's so special about black leggings and a belt, anyway?

A girl gotta work to pay her bills, right? Oh, I can't wait for her next Ungaro collection!
