Make Up for Ever treats us to a quick and easy Natural Aqua look and a chance to win the products! Contest!

Makeup artists always make it look so easy - whacking away at your face with a bunch of brushes for a couple of minutes and coming up with a perfect, natural looking cosmetic application - so not fair! Sure I could go to school for a few years to learn what they did, but that totally messes with my need for instant gratification so instead I asked one of my favourite companies to come up with a quick and easy summer look - ta da! How cute is this?! Here's how you do it:

1. Using a flat natural hair brush or your fingertip, apply a thin layer of Aqua Cream on the eye lid (where ever you feel the eye ball) and blend the edge lightly with a natural hair brush.

2. - Using a squirrel tipped natural hair brush, apply a deeper or brighter Aqua Cream to the outside corner or the eye.

- Working quickly, blend toward the inside of the eye, ending approximately at the pupil of the eye.

- Keeping the colour slightly above the crease will make the eye look more open, using a small or angled natural hair brush blend the same colour right under the lashes, ending approximately at the outer edge of the iris.

3. Apply the liner thinner on the inside to thicker on the outside, add a wing tip if desired.

4. Use a natural hair brush or sponge to apply an Aqua Cream shade to the cheeks, start approximately 1 inch behind the apple of the cheeks and blend backward then forward, work quickly!

5. - Apply an Aqua Lip liner to the natural lip line and balance the lips where needed, feather the liner inward slightly for better blending with the lip colour.Apply an Aqua Cream to the inside of the lips.

Of course you need some Aqua products for your Aqua look and what better way to get them then to win them?! Feeling an Aqua need? Then read on...
2 of our lovely readers will receive a selection of products valued at over $100 including: 2 Aqua Creams - #13 & #7, 1 Mini Aqua Smoky Lash in Black, 1 Aqua Eyes - 0L and 1 Aqua Lips - 2C

Eye Love Wednesday - Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream, Aqua Shadow and Eye Prime!

Check out the official Face Chart created for the Canadian Synchro team - as the girls need high quality products that stay in place in extreme circumstances (namely during strenuous physical exercise underwater), their eye-catching looks were created using the MUFE range of Aqua products and can be seen in their brand new Canadian Olympic routine - CIRCUS!

And what better excuse is there to expand the Aqua Cream line?!

Aqua Cream - $26 - in 4 new versatile waterproof shades: 26 - purple, 23 - lime green, 24 - bright yellow, 25 - baby blue -  that can be worn on the eyes, lips and cheeks. And still a completely smudge-proof, tear-proof, waterproof cream color that won’t crease, run or transfer. With intense payoff with a highly pigmented formula that ensures the colorful, pearly hues show up on skin while the soft, silky texture allows it to glide effortlessly onto eyelids, cheeks and lips. The formula includes evaporating oils to help fix the pigments on skin for impeccable hold, and a special filmogen polymer that encapsulates the pigments to keep moisture out and render them waterproof.

I mean really, if they're good enough for the Syncro Canada team they've got to be good enough for even the weird stuff you might come up with!
Eye Prime - $25 - not only does it intensify the colour pay off of eyeshadow, but most importantly it stabilizes it, preventing creasing - which makes it a must for oily eyelids! In a universally flattering nude shade  and lightweight formula that blends into the skin instantly and brightens the eye area creating the perfect canvas for smooth, even eye shadow application.
Aqua Shadow - $23 - in 12 shades: black, brown, taupe grey, navy blue, green, taupe, copper, pink, peach, beige, pink beige and white - eye shadow pencils that are long-lasting and easy-to-use.

Formulated with silica powder, they have a creamy texture that glides on smoothly and blends easily, providing immediate color payoff and an even result. A combination of waxes, oils and polymers create a flexible film that locks water out to guarantee long lasting, smudge-proof and crease-proof color that's easy to use and perfect for on-the-go application.

And, if you're worried about picking a foundation shade sight unseen, MUFE is also launching an interactive shade finder tool to help women find their perfect foundation match online. You can find the tool here if you want to try it out: www.hd.makeupforeverusa.com/shadefinder.

And now that you look perfect, Make Up For Ever is hosting its first ever open casting call to find the model for their next Unretouched ad campaign. Make Up For Ever 's Rouge Artist Lipstick Shade Finder goes digital and so do my lips! Contest!

Back in September, I introduced you to Make Up For Ever's new Rouge Artist lipstick line and the corresponding in-store shade finder that could help you pick the perfect shade based on your skin and hair colour.  MUFE has now done you one better with their new digital tool that will find your perfect shade even when you shop online at Sephora - check out the online Lipstick Shade Finder - (you can also find it on their Facebook page) just a click of your mouse will lead you to your perfect colour and with 50 to choose from, it's good to have some help! Even nicer, once you find your perfect shade, you can enter to win it, they are giving 10 away a day from now until December 22nd (for a total of 160 winners)!

To celebrate all this wonderful lippiness, MUFE is holding a fun competition to determine who has the best lips online!  They asked 8 online editors to create an artistic lip look with their favourite shades of Rouge Artist, which would then be posted on the MUFE Facebook page for everyone to vote on, and yes, I am one of the 8!
This is where it gets good, for you of course!  The editor whose lips get the most "likes" then gets to design her very own Rock For Ever Essentials kit, like the holiday 2010 Dany’s Essentials kit (pictured above), filled with all of the editor's favorite MUFE products, and even better, the winner will receive 10 of her kits - worth several hundred dollars each - to give away to her readers!

So what we have here is a potential contest - it's really up to you guys if we can pull off a win or not! We are up against 7 really great editors with popular blogs so I really need every vote you can drum up!

Here's what you need to do - go to the MUFE Facebook page and "like" my lips (as pictured above).
Once you do, leave me a comment letting me know you voted and what your favourite MUFE product is - every "like" is worth 1 entry.

Tell your friends - every extra "like" you can nab for me is 1 extra entry for you (the person who "likes" for you can also come here and receive an entry, but you get one whether they want to enter or not).
That means if you ask your 200 FB friends to do it and 50 of them do, that is 50 extra entries for you! Or if you post it on your blog, every follower that votes gets you another vote - the easiest way to keep track would be to have people respond to your blog or FB post that they voted, then you can just send me that link for a final number of extra entries!

Every tweet is worth 1 extra entry

Every blog post is worth 5 extra entries.

So just to clarify - want to win 1 of 10 Lisamarie's Essentials kits worth $300+?!  We need to rally the troops and vote for my lips!  The contest starts today and only runs for a week - ending next Thursday (December 16th) at 5pm.  If we are victorious and after we all stop doing the happy dance, 10 winners will randomly be drawn that evening.

This is open to everyone, everywhere - and if you would leave your e-mail address on your post, it will make it easier for me to find you should you win!

Let me know if you have any questions or if you have any great ideas on how to get votes - and as always, I really appreciate everyone's support!

Make Up For Ever Holiday 2010 - Rock For Ever!

If you are getting sick of holiday collections that are all red and shiny or you are looking for a gift for someone who is a little less ho-ho-ho and more just plain ho, then have you ever come to the right place!
Rock For Ever Eye Shadow Palette - $52 - contains: Diamond Shadow #306 - beige shimmer, Diamond Shadow #307 - black shimmer, Eye Shadow #7 - white shimmer, Eye Shadow #82 - silver iridescent and includes expert application instructions to help you achieve music video worthy rock star eye make up at home!

Rock For Ever Aqua Eyes - $40 - contains: #0L - matte black, #8L - silver, #9L - gold, #10L - copper, #21L - dark grey - I am a long time fan of the Aqua Eyes liners, they are a staple of my lazy mornings when I just line my waterline because I don't have tine to do a proper lining.  As this one blinks out of the waterline, it turns into a perfect line under my eye instead of migrating to the corners and smudging like some liners do.  I am really loving this metallic set that they've put together - edgy and seasonal - they really speak to my inner rocker chick!
Rock For Ever Dany's Essentials - $337 - filled to the brim with 29 of MUFE Creator and Artistic Director Dany Sanz's favourite products, including: HD Elixir, HD Microperfecting Primer, HD Microfinish Powder, HD Kabuki Brush, Mist & Fix, Smoky Lash, Aqua Smoky Lash, Aqua Eyes in #0L, #2L, #3L, #11L, Aqua Black, Aqua Cream in #13 and #15, Eye Shadow in #126 and #139, Diamond Shadow #309, Star Powder #922 and #940, Faux Lash #21 and #115, Travel Sens' Eyes, Double Pencil Sharpener, Rouge Artist #1, #36 and #43, Aqua Cream #5, Aqua Lip #1C and #8C - a $647 value and of course it comes in this amazing make up case which is studded along the front!  If someone gave this to me I would love them for ever so that might be a good argument to make for yourself if you put it on your Christmas list!

All limited edition and available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

How do you feel about the Make Up For Ever holiday line?  Do you like a collection with an edge?
