Cold weather rescue for lips from Epic Blend, Maybelline, The Body Shop and Soap & Glory!

This is the time of year when my purse and person becomes a depository of lip balms of every type you can imagine - some don't make it past the slightly chilly fall weather and are unceremoniously tossed as they disappoint, if it's still in my purse come December, I know I have a winner! Here are a few that have made the cut:

Epic Blend Lip Balm - $3.49 - available in three formulas:

Hemp - with organic help seed oil - a super-nourishing and fast absorbing anti-oxidant, along with organic coconut oil, organic sunflower oil, organic beeswax and vitamin E - in a bunch of great flavours: Vanilla, Citrus Kick, Coconut, Mint and Limited Edition Chocolate Rum and my particular fave - Banana - there is now a banana lip balm in my purse, coat pocket, sweater pocket and desk drawer which would explain why someone asked me the other day why my cubicle smells like bananas...

More Moisture - with 7 moisturizers including organic shea butter, organic coconut oil, organic sunflower oil, organic castor oil, organic beeswax and vitamin E to provide mega moisture that lasts and lasts - flavours available are: Cherry, Green Apple, Grape and Unflavoured (which isn't a flavour at all obviously).

Vegan - is 100% plant-based and beeswax free - instead it contains all-natural food grade Candelilla wax which offers a nice, smooth texture to the balm along with organic coconut oil, organic sunflower oil, organic cocoa butter and vitamin E. In Pineapple-Mint and Wild Berry.

All three formulas are all natural and gluten free.

Available at Boathouse stores across Canada as well as a bunch of other places. Find where or order online at www.epicblend.com.
Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm - $4.99 - in 6 tints: Too Cool (clear), Coral Crave, Pink Me Up, Berry Soft, Soothing Sorbet, Just Peachy - if your regular Baby Lips isn't cutting it for your chapped, cracked lips you'll like this new addition to the line which is enriched with eucalyptus, menthol, camphor and dimethicone to deliver intense medicated care that soothes lips instantly as well as hyaluronic acid to seal in moisture for 12 hour hydration and to prevent future damage. I love my Cherry Me Baby Lips and just wish they made an equivalent shade in this line, I'm making do with Berry Soft for now until Maybelline gives into my demands...

Available now at drugstores and mass retailers across Canada.
The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm - $6 - in Satsuma, Raspberry, Strawberry and Watermelon - fruity flavours in a travel ready pot with community trade beeswax from Zambia for moisture.

Available at The Body Shop and www.thebodyshop.ca.
Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm - $10 - in Juicy Peach and Vanilla Bean that offer non-sticky, non-waxy and non-greasy conditioning with mango butter to moisturize, apricot butter for weather protection, lingonberry oil to boost barrier repair and prevent water loss and pomegranate extract to keep lips moist.

Available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Only problem with all of these balms is they smell so good, it's hard not to want to lick them off!
