I was a bit scared of the rough surface, but don't worry, it doesn't hurt and it isn't rough enough to break or damage the surface of the skin - all you need is a light touch and gentle pressure!
Just be sure to avoid areas of inflammation or broken skin and don't use the studded end on the same day as exfoliating products and if you have sensitive skin only use that end once a week.
