Charlotte Ronson A Perfect Mess Beach Hair - 118ml - $20 - a styling spray for creating texture and a tousled hairstyle - I was so excited to hear that Sephora was carrying Charlotte Ronson and I had heard about this spray so I had to try it! I have chin length, very fine and pretty straight hair so any product that can add some texture and life to my hair is a god-send and this one does a great job! I also got a friend of mine who has long curly hair to try it and she was also impressed because it gave her curl some definition, made them less frizzy and as she put it, made her look like a "California beach goddess who spends her days surfing and picking up hot guys in a wetsuit" - I didn't feel like wearing a wetsuit at all when I tried it but that's probably a good thing for everyone! The other thing you will appreciate is that this costs the same - $20 - in Canada and the US - so for a change we aren't getting hosed on the price!

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray - 125ml - $11.99 - this product promises a beachy tousled look, to add body and texture to straight, fine hair or to pump up the curl in already wavy hair.  It contains Hydrolyzed Silk and Provitamin B5 to protect your hair while adding moisture and shine and UV Protectors to absorb ultraviolet light and protect your hair from harmful sun exposure, dehydration and colour-fade. Give your body some glow with NARS, Borghese and The Body Shop!

I spend so much time on the skin on my face that I sometimes forget that there's a whole lot of body skin that wants attention too!  Here's a few products I've been trying out lately:


NARS Laguna Body Illuminator - 150ml - $52 -  I've heard so many raves about this product that I just had to try it and I'm glad I did. I like the smell and I like the light shimmer but I did find the colour a tad dark for my fair skin.  This was easy enough to fix, I just add a small amount of body lotion to tone it down and it's perfect.

This is a fabulous product for days when I realize I have to wear a skirt and need to do something about my pasty white legs without having the time to apply self tanner. You can just rub it on, do your thing and the next day it washes off.  I didn't have any issues with it coming off on my clothes or sheets either. I'm a fan!

Borghese Splendore Brightening Body Glow - 112ml - $35.50 - lightweight, moisturizing shimmer lotion with a subtle shimmer that brightens and flatters any skin tone for gorgeous radiance.  Camouflages minor skin imperfections and evens out skin tone.  Lightly scented and hydrating with added vitamins A & E and glycerin.

There is no colour to this lotion just glow so this looks a lot better if you already have a bit of natural colour, as I've discovered, it's not that flattering on fish-belly white skin! The work-around is adding a dab of liquid bronzer in with the shimmer to perk it up a bit!

Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil - 100ml - $14 - for a natural-looking bronzed shimmering glow with a dry finish.  Long-lasting and streak-free.

If you want something that has both the colour of the NARS and the shimmer of the Borghese, this is a great pick! It's an oil but it's not the least bit greasy or rub off on your clothes!
