Events and products that offer help and hope from Upper Canada Mall and Nivea!

This Saturday night - October 19th - for the third consecutive year, Upper Canada Mall will host its annual purple-themed fundraising gala, Hope in Purple Heels - a fashionable evening affair to support the construction of Belinda’s Place, the first-of-its-kind homeless shelter for single women in York Region.

The ‘purple-tie’ event will include a cocktail reception and a live fashion show hosted by Melissa Grelo, host of CP24 Breakfast and CTV’s newest talk show, The Social. Models will walk the runway in the latest fashions from retailers at Upper Canada Mall. A musical performance by Canadian Juno award winning R&B and soul singer, Divine Brown, will round out the evening’s entertainment.
The gala begins at 8:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres. There will be Grand Prize giveaways throughout the evening that include a $2,000 shopping spree at Upper Canada Mall, a one-month car-lease from New Roads and a flight pass prize from WestJet.

Would you be surprised to know that in Canada, 1 in 7 children live in poverty and are at risk of starting the day on an empty stomach, as if school wasn't hard enough already! With the belief that a better future comes with a better start to each Day, Nivea Canada is proud to partner with Breakfast Club of Canada by donating $25,000 to the organization in 2013 which will contribute towards helping to feed 130,000 Canadian children.
How can you help? Check out the Nivea Canada Facebook page to learn more about Breakfast Club of Canada and how purchasing Nivea products like this Pure & Natural Moisturizing Day Care and Lip Balm combo pack is contributing to a brighter future for children across the country - www.facebook.com/NiveaCanada.
