It preps skin for makeup in two different ways: by sitting on top of the complexion to smooth its texture, while it absorbs directly into the skin to hydrate and boost moisturization; and reducing the appearance of dry, fine lines and leaves skin with a glowing look.
Now I loves me an oil-pretty much anything but I have to admit, I was a little skeptical of the idea of an oil primer - I had visions of slick skin and my foundation sliding off my face - so wrong - think glowy! The formula is super-light, soaks right in and gives skin a brightness that you just won't get from your regular lotion primer. It also has chamomile and lavender oils in it so it smells very calming - who can't use that first thing in the morning?! The only caution I will make is don't apply foundation immediately after the primer - give it a few minutes to soak right in - and don't waste whatever oil is left over on your fingers - dry cuticles, knees, elbows and split ends will love it!
