Fashionista Alert: Watch the Full Length Lanvin Spring 2011 Runway Show... Here!

This is the next best thing to a front row ticket at Paris Fashion Week...18 minutes of Lanvin: the full show, some unedited backstage footage with the models getting ready, Dita Von Teese stopping by to say hello, and Alber Elbaz (whose H&M collection will be revealed on November 2nd) talking about his inspiration... as if you were there.
As for the collection, the color palette is quite muted for spring but the long pleated skirts, pantsuits and elongated jackets are fluid and very spring like. Flats even made an appearance on the runway for a more relaxed look.

And there is MORE runway footage coming tomorrow! Can you tell when I'm excited?

Lanvin Loves H&M: Coming This Fall!

A Elbaz/Picture: Paolo Reversi for H&M
We got the confirmation this morning from H&M: the next H&M collaboration will be with Lanvin!  Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver created both womenswear and menswear collections for fall. The collection will go on sale in around 200 H&M stores. It will be launched on November 20th in North America and on November 23rd in the rest of the world, but the collection will be revealed to the world on November 2nd, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store. This means three weeks to sharpen your nails and stilettos, ladies! You know the drill by now...this is going to be a hell of a fight to get into that H&M store

I'm very curious to see what Lanvin is going to come up with - because this is one of the top, most respected luxury brand - and Elbaz has been credited for Lanvin's revival, so that should be interesting. Watch this space, I will post the pictures as soon as I get them!
