I've had a pretty crazy week in Montreal and one of my pitstops included Nadya Toto's Fall 2010 runway show. This Montreal-based designer has been featured in many publications, including Vogue or Elle, but strangely enough I first discovered Nadya's work through her eyewear collection.
This fall collection did not disappoint: it's urban and very wearable. The colour palette includes mostly grey and black with the occasional splash of hot pink and deep purple. Nadya plays with textures by combining matte, shiny and sparkly fabrics, rosettes, or even ruffles. The touches of lace and ruffles bring feminity to otherwise minimalist designs.
