Lancôme Visionnaire LR 2412 4% Advanced Skin Corrector - 30ml - $100 - contains the plant-inspired molecule LR 2412 which is the product of 12 years of research.This powerful skin-tolerant molecule is light stable and able to “self-propel” through the layers of the epidermis, leaving skin visibly transformed by addressing pores, wrinkles and un-evenness. You might recall that a few weeks ago we were looking for volunteers to test out the product and really what better way to introduce the product then to give you the all tester's opinions on what Visionnaire will and won't do!

I am 44 years old, have hyperpigmentation, large pores around my nose, some crow's feet and the start of some wrinkles on my forehead.

It's a lightweight, pearlized serum that absorbs easily into the skin. It does have a light perfumed scent, but I can also smell something stronger-almost peroxide smelling for just a few seconds. The perfumey smell does stay for quite a bit, so if you are sensitive to scents in your skincare, this would not be a good serum to try.

It did nothing for my pores, they are still the same size. But it did smooth out my forehead wrinkles as they are less noticeable. It didn't do much for my crow's feet though. It did seem to lighten hyperpigmentation a tiny bit in the 4 weeks, and I think in another month that result would be more noticeable.

I have noticed a definite difference in my pores - definitely less prominent. I have not noticed any change in my wrinkles, but truthfully, I don't have a lot of wrinkles - only slight lines around my eyes. I have noticed a small improvement in evening out the tone of my skin as well...nothing drastic, just subtle.

I got the sample and I used it twice a day as directed.  I really liked it a lot. I like the smell and the coverage I got for just a small amount. One thing I noticed though is it kind of dried out my face a bit. I did notice that some of the sun damage I have diminished around my jaw line and I feel like it really moisturized well around the eye area. So, with that said, I think it would be a great eye cream.  I would buy it for sure, but I would only spot treat.

The good: I found the formula to be nice. It felt nice, absorbed well into the skin and was nice and moisturizing. I wasn't using my usual slew of serums and products in order to properly test this out and my dry skin wasn't thirsting for more at all. I would still usually follow with a moisturizer but not the amount of products I used prior. The bad: I haven't noticed any improvement in fine lines or wrinkles or skin elasticity or tone. Actually to be honest I may have noticed a deterioration in my skin in this regard since discontinuing my prior routine to test this out. I didn't notice any improvement in my skintone. My spots do not seem to have faded at all.Although I got used to it over time I found the fragrance to be way to strong and overpowering.I did not notice any improvement with my pores (if anything they may be worse after switching to this.) I did experience a minor breakout of small pimples on my nose and a couple other small ones in other areas. Quite minor but it's been at least 4-5 months since I've experienced this. To be fair, I was following quite an extensive regime before so it improve on that was a high order.

It's been just over 3 weeks of using this product regularly.  I have barely any left. Here's what I liked: The scent is lovely.  Very light, as it should be; The texture is smooth and light and non-greasy, as one would expect from a good serum; The product refreshes the skin and provides light to medium hydration; and This serum quickly smoothes and softens the skin (but don't they all do that?). What lacked for me is I didn't think it lived up to all its claims: I didn't notice my wrinkles being visibly diminished, if so, maybe microscopically; My pores did not appear reduced; and my complexion did not appear unified.  I'll tell you what I am really pleased with is that I hadn't been following a skin care regime very regularly up until this trial and now I am back in line with better skin care habits again.  My skin is cleaner and better hydrated, so it is on it's way to becoming more beautiful!

Paula also wondered if they would be coming out with a version containing SPF - and I agree it would be very important to wear a sunscreen with the serum to retain the results. Since this is a serum and something is meant to be worn over it - either a moisturizer or a sunscreen or both, I don't think we will be seeing an SPF one!

As for myself, I am a big fan of the scent and the feel of the serum and am very impressed at how quickly it absorbs! I also appreciated the gentleness of it and had no issue using it around my eyes. I did notice some difference with how prominent my pores looked and my skin tone evenness, especially around my nose and chin. It did noticeably soften the line between my eyebrows but didn't do much for my crows feet or the line above my upper lip - to be fair, they are both small lines but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like them gone!

As with all skincare products, individual results vary so you'll have to try it for yourself to know if it will or won't work for you! So what do you think, is this something you might be trying?
