Strapped for time? This five minute beauty routine from Olay, Covergirl and Herbal Essences is a time (life) saver! #gottaturnitup

I admit it, I have serious morning time management issues - whether it's because I pushed the snooze button four times too many or got distracted by watching 16 and Pregnant (btw - if they made this show required viewing in school, no one under the age of 25 would ever get pregnant again!) I often end up scrambling to get ready and since not wearing clothes is frowned on, my beauty routine is what takes the hit! Luckily I have discovered the perfect trifecta of products for a put-together and polished look with a minimum of time and effort (and money)!

1. Apply Olay Fresh Effects {BB Cream!} Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizing Cream all over the face - unless you are really dry you can even skip you moisturizer - this product will add moisture, even out skin tone and leave your skin soft, bright and glowing.

2. Apply 2 coats of Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara - this mascara is great because I am usually totally addicted to my lash comb but this mascara really doesn't clump so comb not required saving tons of time - I normally only use one coat of mascara for a more natural look but when wearing a minimal amount of makeup, two coats brings more emphasis to the eyes and makes them the focal point making it less obvious that I couldn't be bothered to do a full face!

3. Apply a swipe of Covergirl Smoochies Lip Balm - one step to colour, moisture and shine - and if you pick a really light colour like #Be Sweet, you don't even need a mirror to apply!

I think this trio would especially be great for those crazy girls I see applying their makeup in the morning on the subway!

Of course now you have to do something with your hair - I'm lucky that my short hair is pretty much wash and go, if I was smart enough to have showered before I got caught up in 16 and Pregnant then I'm good to go, if not a spritz Herbal Essences Go Naked Dry Shampoo on the roots, shake it around a bit and end up with a sexy tousled look. If you have long hair though, it requires more effort but all manner of sins can be hidden with an easy, 4 step classic bun:
1. Apply a spritz of Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong Silkening Spray to your hair and work through strands evenly - it helps detangle and strengthen against damage while leaving hair soft and shiny.
2. Sweep hair into a low side ponytail and secure tightly.
3. Twist your hair while wrapping it around the base of the ponytail. Tuck the last strands inside the bun and secure with a bobby pin.
4. Finish the look with a lightweight hairspray such as Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Tousling Hairspray for soft, shiny texture with a flexible hold.

Totally easy and you are now ready to go! For more great tips and daily fashion, beauty and cultural inspiration check out:  www.turn-it-up.ca.
