Thanks to the sponge it's an easy application method - just twist to dispense foundation and touch on - apply with a gentle tapping motion dotting foundation across forehead, nose, cheeks and chin – or only to areas where coverage is needed. Then just buff and blend by smoothing out dots with a circular motion or use light strokes to blend across skin, from center of face out toward hairline.

I don't normally like these built-in sponge applicators - they end up dirty and gross and then how are you supposed to wash it without getting water in the foundation? EL who understands me so well solved this issue by making the sponge removable so it can be washed with no fuss or issue!
